I lost my remote but have another sony remote but dont know how to tune it to the dvd player

I have MTV DVD recorder model TS-2080 but remote not working. Need to know code to allow me to tune universal remote to allow me to use

some DVD's will let you manually start them on the Sony blu-ray and the Sharp Blu-ray players. Other DVD's require the remote control. It is probably the DVD and not the blu-ray player. Pick up a inexpensive universal remote if you cannot find the original. Sony devices are easy to program on any universal remote.

It may or may not work. There's no way to program it unless it's a universal remote, and even then you'd need to find the codes. I'd put some batteries in and hit power... if it works it works. Universal remotes aren't expensive though. Pick one up if the old Sony won't work.

You need to have remote control to perform tuning for radio because unit has no control buttons to do so.

well if you still have the manuel for the dvd player the remote codes could be in there. if not you can always call sony tech support and see if they have the code on hand.
