I have a two zone Carrier comfort zone 11 thermostat controlling a section of our home. the temperture on the cool setting continues to cool to less than set on the thermostat. I have tried to reset the tempertures for both heat and cool but still will cool to cooler that set on the unit.
Possibly 2 different scenarios, 1, your tstat is overshooting do to what is called temp droop. This means your tstat will allow the unit to overshoot temp set point to reach the desired humidity setpoint (typically a max of 3 degrees depending on the setting) or 2, the damper for that zone is not closing when set point reached.

If it 2 degree cooler then that's fine .adjust your thermostat 2 degrees higher so you will get the temperature

I hate to say it but Ive had trouble with Carrier's Tstats doing similar improper things. Unfortunatly the only repair is going to be replacement of the whole tstat. I recommend Honeywell's FocusPRO or VisionPRO tstat. Ive yet to have one fail and they have a 5yr warranty if they ever do.

Verify 24 volts at the low voltage transformer inside the air handler. If it is OK, jump out the red/green and yellow thermostat wires. If everything comes on, replace the thermostat.

the e2 error on your thermostat is a problem with the return temp sensor on your system, the only thing you can really do is call a company and replace it, you can't bypass it or remove it cause the system wont run properly

sounds like your zone control tstat needs calabrated or maybe replaced,in owners manual there should be a section on calibration if not you may have to replace it

The stat that works is called the main and the other two are called slave stats. The stats must be set to heat or cool the same as the main. If you want one room to cool and one to heat , sorry. Need to upgrade to auto changeover. Is this AC actally a Heat pump?
