I figured it out. If you are low on (25%) on either colors or black, then it won't print. Even if you load a new black cartridge and it reads as 100% black, it won't print because it will only print when BOTH cartridges have been replaced and reads 100%.
Same thing happens reversed with color being replaced.
So basically, ALL printers short you 25% ink and FORCE you to buy their ink more often. Kodak is no exception.
I have 100% black and 25% color and a BW only needed text paper won't print. I been through this before. *facepalm*
Clean the gold section of the print cartridge's with a wet paper towel. Also clean the gold surfaces where the cartridge meets the printer. Wipe the contacts clean with a dry paper towel once you get no ink back on the wet paper towels. Allow about an hour for the printer to dry. Reinstall the cartridges and try printing.
Dear sir
good day
to fix up such problem
Clean the printhead, then print and
Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Printhead Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo + Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet
and you have to Replace ink cartridges.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are using KODAK Ink Cartridges. Your KODAK All-in-One Printer is designed to work with KODAK Ink Cartridges. Kodak is not responsible for the compatibility or performance of either non-Kodak brand ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. To purchase KODAK Ink Cartridges, go to KODAK Ink Cartridges & Photo Value Packs.
Lift the printer access door, then remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
Insert new KODAK ink cartridges into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear the cartridges click into position.
Close the printer access door, then make the same print.
* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing * Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again * if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead
throw out your printer and buy another brand. if you call18002356325 the call goes to manila and chances are you will be talking to some one who only speaks partial english and knows nothing about kodak products but will read to you from these internet instuctions that you just read !!! kodak has become a very anti-american company in so many ways!!!
The Cyan-yellowish color has either dried up or has bad nozzles. Take out the color cartridge and put in on a glass dish with 1/8 inch of warm water on it. After 5 minutes, wipe it dry with tissue paper or paper towel and try it in printer again. You'll probably need a new color cartridge, there is a large failure rate of cartridges from the mfg. and re-mfg.
Call Kodak and tell them you're problems. I was in same boat with new cartridges and still problems. My printer was only 9 month old and printed over 600 pages. I received my new printhead along with brand new cartridges and sample of 4x6 photo paper. However, having problems removing the printhead. New printhead came within 1 business day of calling Kodak!
