1. Make sure your wireless router is turned on and set up correctly.
2. Turn on ps3 and go to 'network settings' under 'settings' in the main menu.
3. Select 'Internet connection settings' and select yes if a new screen pops up saying you'll be disconnected from internet.
4. Select 'Easy' on the next screen, where it asks what type of installation you want.
5. Select 'Wireless'.
6. Select 'Scan', and the system will search for available connections in the area.
7. Pick your connection, and select you security settings and enter your passphrase/key, then save your settings.
8. Select the 'Test Connection' option. If you've been successful then your connection information should be displayed. If it didn't work then repeat steps to correct any mistakes you've made.
If you can't see your connection in the list then check your router is on etc and that the ps3 isn't too far away.
Well try resetting the outlet that the PS3 is plugged into, unplugging everything from the PS3, and plug everything back in, it should work. If not, call Sony Customer Support and they will Fix your PS3 For you. Hope this helped.
