Refilled cartridge not recognised by printer (canon PIXMA MP210)

I have had both colour and black ink cartridges refilled at Cartridge World but neither is being recognised by the printer as being full. Error message tells me that the cartridges are still empty. Is there a solution to this. I have only had my printer for a few weeks.

Thanks

My printer is an Epson R265 and has the same problem of not recognising replacement cartridges from Cartridge World. Removing and replacing them has had no effect at all.

Installed a refilled black in cartridge. It was not recognized but was able to print a few sheets. Error 6 message appears and does not print at all.

Everything works on the printer, but when the page comes out there is no ink on it.. The cartridges are refilled and full. I have had them refilled before and everything worked, but not this time. What do I do? I was told that there may be a software program that I can download that will help alleviate the problem.

Most printers will not recognize refills. The best you can hope for is not letting the cartridges get completely empty before refilling.

Says ink is empty, but I just changed cartridges

Some cartridges have to be reset when refilled so it indicate that the cartridge if full. Sounds like it wasn't reset.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Non-recognised ink cartridge

I haven't tried the Colour/B&W/Stop button combination suggested above, but on a Canon MG5250, switching off, then on, and immediately holding down the 'stop' button for 20-30 secs does seem to disable the block. After that the colour concerned has no indicator. It seems that refilled cartridges will woork for a few refills (showing low ink on the indicator) before requiring the permanent fix.

I want to refill the ink cartridges (black 30 - colour31) myself....how do I do it?

You can't refill these cartridges yourself. Your printer remembers the serial numbers encoded in the electronics of the cartridges that have been in the printer. If your printer sees the same serial number in a row it will kick out the cartridge. HP printers don't use this same system to reject cartridges. I recommend Cartridge World refills or refills from anywhere that has a high turnover of these cartridges so you don't get one with the same serial number.

I want to refill the ink cartridges (black 30 - colour31) myself....how do I do it?

Hi there,
Filling is easy - but messy. I use No 40 cartridges for my pixma ip2200.
For the black cartridge, carefully remove the label. Drill a 2-3mm dia. hole in the depression in the top. With a syringe fill, using about 10ml of black ink. Plug the hole with a suitable bung and away you go!
You will however lose the ink level indication as it is not a genuine cartridge - but that is unreliable anyway.
Don't refill more than a couple of times as the foam inside the case eventually perishes and all the ink runs out.

Whilst the cartridge is out of the printer give the jets a wipe with a wet tissue. This is usually quite effective in removing dried on ink.

You can do the same with 41 colour cartridges but it is a bit more tricky locating the correct place to drill.

Good luck
