Snap backs can be a pain
try placing the watch face down in a towel or something to protect the face
next make sure the notch for the stem is aligned (if it has one)
apply presure to the center of the back
this should be done on a desk or something sturdy about waist high in order to gain enough pressure to SNAP the back on
if this fails due to excessive force I sure the repairman will gladly put it on after replacing the crystal

How do I put the back cover on a Waltham watch?

Try hooking the edge furthest from the winder at first, then work toward the winder.

If that isn't enough... warm the back cover with a hair dryer while you chill the rest of the watch. Serious as anything - the warmed cover will expand JUST SLIGHTLY while the cooled watch will contract JUST SLIGHTLY, maybe enough to snap that cover on. You can cool the watch in a freezer, but if you do... quickly snap the cover on while you hold the watch in the still-open freezer. If you take the watch from the freezer and leave it open at room temperature, it'll get moisture condensate inside. Leave it cold until the cover's on.

It also helps to wear cotton gloves if you use the heat-and-cool approach - then your hands won't appreciably cool the warmed cover or warm the chilled watch.

The watchmakers have a special watch press that squeezes the back into place - it's padded to prevent damage to the crystal, and applies a little extra force to the center of the back to buckle the rim outward just slightly during pressing. Like the opposite of a wheel cover for a car.

How do i change a lego watch battery?

I used this website How to Pry off Watch Backing Without Proper Tools all you need is a small screwdriver. There is a tiny tab on the back of the watch you must pry off gently, then you will probably need same screwdriver to get the battery out, again, gently There is no need to pull out the knob on the side of the watch or take off the timer ring from the face. Once you replace the battery, the back snaps back on fairly easily.

We had a c3p0 watch and the battery is an sr626sw which you must source online.

Needs batteries lionel collectable train watch need user guide and battery size

The Lionel Collectable Train Watch has 3 batteries in it. Two are for the whistle and one for the watch. All of them are V377 or 377 disk batteries. Gently pop off the back cover as most watches come off the same way. The battery by itself toward the middle is the train timepiece watch battery and is installed with the + side up toward you. The two batteries toward the edge are the whistle batteries, and you have to be very careful in changing them. Thee us a rotating contact that is plastic coated, over the batteries. NOTE: THE BATTERIES ARE NOT BOTH IN THE SAME DIRECTION. ONE IS UP AND ONE IS DOWN. (LOOK VERY CAREFULLY FOR A + AND - SIGN ON RIGHT NEXT TO EACH BATTERY.) For this reason, it is recommended to only change ONE battery at a time, so you will not get them mixed up. Gently spin the contact one direction, and one of the batteries will be clear and come out. Change that battery. Now rotate the contact back to the original position over both batteries, and continue rotating in that direction until the second battery is clear and can be removed. Change that battery. Now you can confirm that you still have one battery up and one down. Rotate the contact back to its original position, centering it on each battery. This contact has a layer of plastic material covering it on top so that it will not contact the watch case. If this plastic coating is damaged, it can damage the watch. If it is damaged, you might put a small piece of tape over the contact, to prevent other damage. NOTE that close to the edge of the watch is a very, very small spring sticking up. Make sure that spring is still vertical, as it is very delicate and can be damaged easily. That spring as well as the metal arm sticking up are part of the speaker circuit and must be in their place when the cover is replaced, as the speaker is in the cover. Now gently replace the cover until it snaps down. You will see the train moving around the dial and you can push the button and hear the whistle. Incorrect changing of these batteries by persons in jewelers departments of stores like Walmart and Target, have damaged more of these watches than you would like to believe. Hope this helps. (By the way, I do not have a brochure for the watch at this time.)

I have a geneve quartz 14k gold mans watch dont no how to take apart to put battery in.

mcdevito75 here, Battery usually lasts 1 year and longer, even if you did change the battery yourself now, you"d forget for a year or even longer next time battery needeed to be changed, I know I did. Add to this you can easily destroy your watch with in-correct handleing. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this battery change $10--$15.00 and peace of mind.

I have a ladies timex indiglo watch that I was able to get the back off and replace the battery but now I can NOT get the back on again. It doesnt seem to have any grooves on it. It seems as if it would...

I have an old Timberland Indiglo watch in which I had the same problem. I folded up a paper towel for padding and I used two sets of pliers, one to hold one side of the watch while I used the other set of pliers to snap the back cover closed. It took two seconds to do.

Changed battery and cant get cover back on. Whats the trick?

mcdevito75 here, Look for any matching Slot or groove or tab in the cover and the caseing. Example, there may be a small cutout in the cover for the stem, make sure it"s lined up, place the watch on a flat sturdy surface crystal (glass) up with even, even pressure from the palm of your hand press down Evenly and the cover should snap shut, if not, see a small watch repair shop in your area for help.

Removing the back to change battery

The plastic wrist band doesn't have to be cut away. You need to dislodge the spring-loaded end of the pin from the hole in the plastic with the blade of a sharp thin knife.

The you proceed to lift one of the 4 snaps to open the cover. The battery is under a white translucent inside cover.

The original battery was Sony SR621SW.

Pay attention to the rubber seal ring when putting the watch back together.
