Analog tv has been turned off and is no longer available. if you have not got a digital aerial on you roof you will have to get an indoor digital aerial. if you have a sky dish and receiver you can plug that into the tv and watch the free channels.

How do I get my to work with an antenna

If its a standard analog tv made before the digital changeover it will no longer work directly connected to an antenna as there are no more analog tv transmissions,to use it you will have to get a digital to analog converter box to connect between the tv & antenna it will convert the incoming digital signal to analog so the tv can work again, the same goes fore vcr's they will no longer record directly from an antenna. Some cable systems still supply the cable signal in analog older tv's will still work without boxes on these systems.

Have put my ariel in to tv but tv will not pick up any channels

There are a couple possibilities here. Is the antenna a digital HDTV antenna, or is it a standard analog? The TV tuner must match the antenna type. Also, if you are using an analog antenna (old style), there may not be any analog broadcast stations in your area anymore as most have gone digital.

Jvc hd56g786 channels stuck on digital cant get them changed to analog

Using the television's remote control, enter the user's menu. Search for video input and change from cable to antenna. If still experiencing difficulty, visit the JVC website and download the owner's manual to learn the procedure of changing the video input type and deactivate the television's digital decoder.

I have a Avermedia Tvbox 9 and i cant get it to show any stations. I did the channel scan, but i still did'nt get any. I just brought it used, but it did'nt come with a manual. What am i doing...

The TVBox 9 only has an NTSC (analog) tuner. Do you have any analog stations in your area and the antenna rotated to get the signal from them. Since the remaining analog stations are low-power ones, you may need to use an amplifier if you aren't very close to the transmitter. Antennaweb.org and TVfool.com provide information on the direction of the antenna. Antennaweb is very conservative in the channel list and assumes an external antenna; so it may not list any analog stations.

If you connect a digital to analog converter box to the TVBox 9, you should be able to receive the digital channels in your area (assuming the correct antenna strength and direction). The converter boxes available with the government coupon some time ago are limited to SD outputs.

The Avermedia TVBox11 has a digital tuner and has HD output. See http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4272281&CatId=1427 for information.

The TVBox tuners are country-specific; one sold in the UK will not work in the USA.

I hope this helps.

Need to hook up dvd/vcr combo with converter box

Connect your rabbit ears to the Insignia. Connect the Insignia to the antenna input on the "cvd/vcr combo". Now turn on the television to show the "cvd/vcr combo".

The Insignia simply goes between your antenna and your television. In your case you also have a vcr so if you want the VCR to be able to play and record digital stations you will need the Insignia between the vcr and the antenna.
