As for unlocking the modem, it's best to get the unlock code from your provider but unfortunately some charge for these device specific codes. You would probably also need to make some firmware changes to reflect the net provider you intend to use, or alternatively, use other management software that allows you to specify network details like APN, etc.

Your control is malfunctioning. If the fan will sometimes operate normally, it is not a problem with the board in the fan. The replacement control is $50~ through Casablanca, but you can find them on ebay for half that cost, or less. Depending on your model of fan you may have the W-32 control, or the W-33. Most likely you have the W-32, but, reply with the model # and I'll let you know which control you have.

This is a power supply board problem.

I fixed this problem by replacing the board. The model number for my board is EAY42539401. It cost me $55 plus shipping. A Google search for the board model number should bring up a few suppliers.

I recommend fixing it yourself if you can (all you need is a screwdriver). Replacing it yourself is MUCH cheaper than having it repaired. It took me about 45mins to fix (all the srews). I purchased the board from ModusLinkPTS.
