It looks like you are using the wrong size or SDHC on an older camera only supporting SD. Look here for info on your Kodak camera. You didn't mention the model you're using....

Also, the newer SD cards may be too fast for your camera.
My older DX6340 cannot handle the newer high speed SD cards.

SOURCE: 2GB SD card is brand new but camera says it is full.

Some of the older cameras will not take the bigger cards. You can use the bigger card with your computer to store your photos.

Says memory full put a new sd card in says thats full too cant move anything to sd card

If you look carefully, what usually occurs is that it is the internal memory that is getting full. It is very hard to fill an SD card unless you have a LOT of pictures and videos saved. Some apps are written to allow them to be moved to and run from the SD card, others allow their data to be stored there, but unfortunately, most still seem to insist that they run exclusively on internal memory. This prohibits the ability to free up internal memory and eventually results in your having to decide which apps are more important than others. Cleaning up the memory by deleting data caches helps, but until the phone manufacturers either increase internal memory or insist that apps writers take advantage of SD cards when available, this problem will continue to haunt us all.

It keeps saying memory card is full. Bought a new memory card and put in and it still says the card is full.

Are you sure that isn't "internal" memory card is full message?

Sometimes, when "internal memory card is full" there is no more space in the camera's internal memory. Your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. The number of pictures you can store depends on the picture size setting you have selected on your camera. Keep in mind that the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed (auto default).

If really, the problem is in the "SD memory card", I suggest make some backup all files and reformat the SD. Try formatting it in the camera, there should be a process in your owners manual for doing this; donw formatted SD in your computer, isn't good.

Hope helps.

I have put a new sd card in my camera, and its says memory is full. What could be wrong.

A few things can be happening first the SD card may have the lock switch in the lock position I'm including a diagram to show the correct positioning.

The next thing is you said you put a new SD card in. All memory cards need to be formatted to the camera they are going to be used in formatting cleans the card (yes I know it's new) and makes it compatible to the camera. Also each time you download pictures to the computer the memory card needs to be formatted to re clean the memory card and make it ready to accept new pictures. One other thing your camera has a small capacity in todays standards and the largest SD card I see being used is a 256mb, if the new card is larger then 256mb this could be the problem as well. If this is the case then it might be possible to update the camera firmware. However it would be a whole lot easier to purchase a 256mb card. Format the new card making sure the lock is in the right position and continue on as you have been.

From the manual:

Installing SD Memory Card

Your camera has a memory card slot that enables you to insert any "SD" compatible memory card up to 8BG. Adding a memory card will allow you to increase the capacity of your camera before you have to transfer photos and videos to your PC. Install the SD memory card as below:

  1. Locate the Memory Card slot within the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the Memory card into the slot in the correct direction. (see the sketch below)

  1. Push the card in until you feel it "click" into position. The top of the card should be flushed with the surface of the camera. An icon will appear on the LCD screen after you turn on your camera.
  2. Once the external memory card is inserted into the camera all the images taken with the camera will be stored on the card.

Note:

  1. Limited internal memory is provided for test images. The image will be deleted when camera power is turned off. Please download the images before power off .SD memory card is required for normal use.
  2. An external memory card is required for normal use. Your camera supports any compatible SD memory card (up to 8GB).
  3. If there is a photo in the internal memory when you insert the card into your camera, a "Copy to card" message will appear on the LCD with Yes or No options. On selecting 'Yes' the photo will now be copied to your card.
  4. Formatting will delete all data on the SD memory card including protected data.
8
  1. Don't remove the SD card during formatting as this may damage the card and render it unusable.
  2. When your card is full, download the media on the SD card to your PC and delete the photos and videos from it in order to continue using your

Can you put the SD card in an external card reader and see any files? Did you format the sd cards in the camera? You should never format the cameras sd card with a pc.
