Cash sales are what you sold for cash, cash in drawer is what you have in cash sales as well as any cash you put in drawer at the start of the day and recordered as cash in drawer. The amount in the drawer (Cash in Drawer) should equal to total cash sales, sales with checks, paid outs (PO's) removed and all transactions performed for a day or period of time. Cash - Checks, PO, petty cash removed all shuld equal total cash in drawer.....Hope this helps

SOURCE: I have a sam4s ER-5200M. Today it started printing a 4 in front of all prices on the receipt. The screen says the correct amount.

http://cashregisterguys.com/files/Samsung_5200_40M_man.pdf

i saw this on page 116,it looks relevant,,,,,,,,,21.. Display add price of linked item? When Y, the customer display shows a total of the item and linked item. For example, if PLU is $1.00 and is linked to PLU2, which is $0.25, the display will show $1.25.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it doesnt add 40 dollars so that leads me to believe that there is an error with the printer, you might need to reset and start over or call the company, good luck.

Sam4s er 5200m - is it possible to set certain cash amounts to deduct from total, ie. £20, £10 and £5 for notes

Normally, you'd put some macro keys in those positions where you want the tender buttons. Then set the keys to emulate the payment. E.g set one to emulate '500 CASH'. If you need a manual for the macro key codes, checkout tech has that model https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung_ER-5200M_and_ER-5240M_operating_programming_manual.html

Is it possible that the keys can lock on a sam4s er-5200m electronic cash register if so how can u unlock them

Did you sort out this problem? Usually it is caused by a cashier logon problem. Especially if you see 'CLOSED' on the display.
