The C50 can be lowered, but not by adjusting the shock.
Adjusting the shock only stiffens or softens the ride.

To lower the Suzuki Vl800 (C50), you will need to purchase a lowering kit, which consists of a new set of "lowering bones" (so named because they are shaped like dog bones).

You will need to remove the stock bones from the shock, and replace them with the new bone from the kit. You can buy kits on eBay that will lower your bike 1 to 3 inches.

Hello jesspurvis: My name is Roger and I will help you. Their is a GM tech bulletin for this . The bulletin number is 04-06-04-015A. The bulletin gives part numbers for the extension kit you will need. The only place you can find the parts is from a GM dealer. I know of no aftermarket for the parts, Also to replace the air pump and extension kit. A lot of it is done from under the vehicle. Should you need further help please just ask. This took me sooo long to figure out; half the global LG sites don't work for downloads, and even then you're never sure which one you need!

1. google 'LG Mobile support tool', and download it.

2. go into 'settings -> connectivity -> USB connection' and select 'data service'.

3. connect the phone to your computer with the USB cable.

3. run the LG mobile support tool (it's a small exe file that doesn't need installing)

4. go into 'customer support -> application, manual and USB driver download'

5. enter the IMEI, select the model number (KE850A), and serial number in the fields given. These can all be found behind the battery

6. click 'read info'

7. It should list 3 things in the box below; the software, manual, and USb driver.

8. double-click on the one(s) you want to download!!
