I have a 2012 Panasonic tc-p55vt50 plasma tv. When turned on the red light flashes six times and has a black screen. I removed the back panel and noticed the dual fans turn on for a split second when the tv is turned on and goes back into the flashing code(6 blinks). Then I disconnected the ribbon cable connections at SC20 and C20. Pugged in the power cord and turned on. The red light started flashing 8 blinks with a black screen. I then reconnected the ribbon cables SC20 and C20. I turned the power back on and checked terminals C561 for 5volts and TP for 15volts on the C20 board. I only get voltage for a split second when the tv is turned on and the dual fan come on briefly also. When the code is flashing 6 times I again press the power button for about 3 sec. and the black relay on the power board(Pboard)clicks on and that's when I get a voltage reading for a split second. Then the black relay clicks again and no voltage, black screen and red light flashes 6 times again. When I disconnect the SC board from the power board the red light flashes 7 times. I reconnect the SC board then disconnect the top right board and get 8 flashes from red light. I then reconnect the top right board. when I disconnect the main board from the power board nothing happens at all. Do you have any suggestions or do you know what board needs replaced? Thank you
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
