Look to see if coiled gas line is vibrating against back of stove. (Or try pulling stove forward a bit).

Otherwise, you are probably correct about a transformer. It can be ''defective'' and still work.

Had power outage & when electric company put new transformer on, stove came on with this error f11 error, when open oven door it mesg goes off & on, oven wont work now

I appreciate your post, Katherine!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire range is displaying an "F11" error code after a power outage. An "F11" error code stands for a shorted keypad. I would suggest performing a reset on your range and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for at least ten minutes. If that does not work you may need to have a professional technician out to provide proper repairs. This will prevent you from any unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

One plate in Bellini induction cooktop continues to flash with a pot on it, yet the pot works on the other 3 plates. How do I fix?

Had the same problem after overusing one of the bigger elements on my bellini induction stove / cooktop to boil copious amounts water. Element eventually stopped working and would just flash power level similar to when it cant recognise an induction pot, but also made a clicking noise over and over. My solution was to turn mains power off at meter box, and back on to reset the stove. When power came back on stove was working again! might have reset some sort of cutout sensor inside stove but cant be certain. Anyway, worked for me so give it a go and see if it helps. good luck.

The Viking gas stove - 6 burner - clicks constantly -- it won't stop. it has done this for years and usually goes off after a while but now it wont stop clicking. The burner that is not even on click.

Hello,
The problem is one(or more) of the 6 switches that turn on the spark when that burner is turned on is shorted and stays closed (on) all the time.To determine which one it is the front face has to be removed, with THE POWER OFF a meter set to low ohms rating is used to check each switch by removing the wires to it and see which one has continunity (ZERO OHMS) when its off and that switch that slips on the burner valve shaft is the bad switch(s) and needs to be replaced to keep it from sparking all the time.
Please note though, in a perfectly working cooktop all burners spaks at the same time and only the only one that has the gas flowing to it will ignite, that part is normal.

I hope this helps you to repair your cooktop,
Gene

My GE Monogram 5-burner gas cooktop has a constant buzzing sound. The cooktop is working properly, but the buzzing is annoying.

Hi,

Here is a tip that I wrote that will help figure out why the burner spark keeps on clicking...

My stove is making strange clicking noises. please help.

It sounds like the ignition knob is stuck in the "ignitor" position. Try taking it off, clean it and adjust it. If that doesn't work, it will have to be replaced with a new one. If yu leave it alone, it will probably wear itself out. Just make sure that the gas valves on the stove are in the off position so that they don't accidentally light on their own. Good luck

I was roasting a chicken in my Maytag Cooktop when I heard a loud buzzing and a "pop", all of the power in my house went out. Something had tripped the breaker. My husband reset the breaker but my stove...

there is a short for sure, sometimes when the heating element burns out and melts, it touches the metal inside the housing causing a short. inspect the heating elements in the oven(top and bottom). the loud buzzing sound is what a shorting out heating element makes as it melts like a weldin rod, usually because of using tin foil(not recommended)

Stoves 700CTH hob

I have a Stoves 900 CTH with the same problem. Its been like it for about 6 months and we're still able to get it going eventually.
If you turn the power on at the mains and leave it beeping for about 2 hrs then press the power on touch button. You should see all the "0."s flashing. When the flashing and beeping goes slow try pressing one of the hob buttons alot until the little dot illuminates next to the 0 then quickly lit the + button.
It sometimes works after 5 mins but other times it takes 20-30mins and is a real pain in the ****.
I did ring Stoves a while back and they quoted me £190 for the pcb but I hardly use it so just lived with it as it is but I finally had enough tonight and done a web search which turned up this thread.
I've just pulled it to bits to see if I could locate this "C17" but not 100% sure what I'm looking for.
