Connect a USB cable to it and run the setup cd. It will prompt you for how you want to connect to it. USB, Wireless or Network. Choose Wireless and then select the same wireless that your PC is using.

There is no adjustment to printing coloured text. This is rather unusual. I feel you maybe using recycled cartridges and the magenta is not true magenta. I once bought a couple of so called magentas and they turned out to be orange!!
there are many ways to do this. u can go to the print settings, or take the picture and paste it in word and right click and make it black and white or take the pic into photoshop or windows picture viewer and make it greyscale or something
In this situation your wireless printer might require a power reset before you print each document. Though the printing activity will take place efficiently you will have to physically go and power the printer to enable it to print. This problem might require you to reload the firmware of the router and set the wireless printer to manual IP address in order to make it work seamlessly no matter how many documents you have to print.
1. uninstall all canon drivers, and everything from canon.
2. restart you pc
3. run installation disk .// do not usb connect your printer ///
select MP drivers, XPS printer driver, Esy-Web print EX.
Make sure you install driver from disk. Because when you plug your printer before run disk, windows will installing driver first and that is the problem.
4. plug usb cable only when installation program ask you to.
it was working on my printer set up. I was fighting with that problem for 4 hours.(DFT) :)
