Phone was played with by child, now red light shows and no dial tone

Hello
Your phone ahs been locked by mistake. When telephone is locked, except for a saved emergency number, no numbers can be dialled; incoming call can be answered.
To unlock it, Lift Handset, select function. (1) Lock. (0) Unlock. Press SET key and replace handset. OK.

When i receive a text message my nokia E72 doesnt ring, what could be the problem?

Does the phone ring when you receive an incoming call? If so, press Menu go to Control Panel (or might be the profile is shown in the menu) after control panel, Profile then Options and then Personalize, then, scroll down and again select Message Alert Tone, set the Tone for the message. Also make sure that the volume is turned up. Save the settings and try again. If this doesn't help and you don't hear any ring tone during an incoming call, let me know after checking the sound settings.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I bought your digital cordless phones two weeks ago and now we recieve no incoming calls because they do not ring although we know that they are ringing also we cannot ring out we hear the number being...

They're not mine or FixYa's phones, they are yours.

Are you hearing dial tone before you ring out? When a phone doesn't dial or ring, it's the first sign that it's not connected to a working phone line. Try a regular phone in the same jack first.

Cannot get dial tone

try to make an incoming call to the phone in question by dialling the phone number from a mobile or whatever.if the phone does not ring then the line itself is not connected or has a wiring problem.
so if no dial tone and no incoming calls then check the line itself

If you have tried the phone base unit in the same jack that works correctly with your answering machine and you still cannot break dial tone, then you have a defective base unit. Jer
