There is indeed a RANDOM option for this MP3 player. To access it play a song, while the song is playing press the button on the side of the player (the MODE button) Your screen will change. Select the option PLAY MODE. Then scroll down and select RANDOM.
You can go into the menu, go to options and from there it will have an option to turn on/off shuffling. To get to the menu press the circle button in the middle.
Do you have a shuffle or random mode as default when you are copying music to the mp3 player?
If not, did you have a lot of music on the player before deleting some of it? Because then the software will try and copy music files into the "gaps", which might explain why your play order isn't the right order.
You need to go into your Play Mode ssettings and select "Repeat All" to turn off this feature:
