Take some electronics contact cleaner, CRC is best, and spray the knob. It has grease inside that is preventing the spring from popping it up so it turns. You'll need to get a new knob eventually and please don't install it yourself unless you are well versed in working with gas.

The circuit breaker for out kitchenaid glass

Water probably did get into the switch(es). The best bet for a fast fix is to pull the knobs off and use an air can (like for blowing dust out electronics) to blow down into the holes. This will dry out any water in there and should allow you to use it again. To be extra sure, blow out the switches and leave the knobs off over night. In the morning the knobs can be replaced and the cook top should be good to use. Hope this helps!

Cook top burner knobs all 4 not able to turn

Hello,

Just to be clear, non of the 4 burner controls/knobs will turn ? You are familiar with this unit are you ?

Typically you must push down and turn to activate them.

Let me know if that is not the solution.

Good Luck :)

Flames too high Jenn-air CCG2423

Definitely cut your loses and get a cooktop with a warranty. That unit sat on the back shelf for a reason.......it didn't work properly.

Also, but a cook top that is compatible with the safety knobs they sell as child guards at places like lowes and home depot.

here is a link to show you how the child proof knobs work

GE Profile JP350 cooktop stopped working

OK, i think the problem took care of itself. definitely got water down in the infinite switch for the lower right burner. let it dry 12 hours and reset the breaker, now works fine. but, i know if i do that again, or if it happens randomly, i will have to replace the switch and seals (available at repairclinic.com)
to do that, you have to remove the cooktop (screwed down by a strap in the back to the back wall of the cabinet) remove the sheetmetal to access the switches and replace. just keep the wiring straight, and ALWAYS replace the seals, they leak over time.

Spark continuously on

If you have recently cleaned it, you may have gotten moisture behind the knobs and into the spark switches. Be very careful not to let moisture get behind knobs. Very dangerous. If this is the case, they may dry out themselves and stop sparking. If not you may need to replace a spark switch behind knob.
