Hello Andy;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

I am sorry for the above response. Some advisors on this site are not knowledgeable in the field and answer questions regardless of professionalism and rudeness just to build up points on this site.

Anyway, I am here to help you.

First you have no thermal fuse and you power is 220 and 240V.

There are only three components that control your oven:

1.0 The heating element - Inspect the heating element (Metal bar) inside your oven. Is there a crack in the element. Inspect the two connectors of the heating element against the back wall for corrosion. When you turn the oven on do you see sparking? Then you have a bad heating element.

2.) Ok, the heating element is good.
3.0) Turn on your broiler. Does it glow bright red? Then your thermocouple is good.
4.) Then your problem is in your oven control board. Sears will cost about $256.00.

I just purchase a remanufactured oven control board over the internet for my customer for $30.00. Easy repair.

Send me your model number. Either on the top of your oven door or on the face of your oven after you open the door.

Hello Melody; I ran your model number and it does not come up. Please recheck your model number. Is it is a Maytag? Please advise. Give me all of the numbers. Once again you have to be careful of some of the so called technician advisers on this site.

Good Morning, I have a Smeg SUK91MFX and the fan oven does not heat up.

Hello Ron,
If you have already replaced the thermostat unit and both heating elements, and the indicator light is coming on and the fans are running, but the oven is still not heating up, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you could try:
  1. Check the wiring connections: Ensure that all wiring connections are secure and properly connected. Loose or faulty connections can prevent the oven from heating up.
  2. Check the oven control board: The control board regulates the power to the oven elements. If it is faulty, it may prevent the elements from heating up. You can test the control board using a multimeter or by having it professionally checked and repaired or replaced.
  3. Check the thermal fuse: Some ovens have a thermal fuse that protects the oven from overheating. If the thermal fuse has blown, it can prevent the oven from heating up. You can test the thermal fuse with a multimeter and replace it if necessary.
  4. Check the temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is responsible for monitoring the temperature inside the oven. If it is faulty, it may prevent the oven from heating up. You can test the temperature sensor with a multimeter and replace it if necessary.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it may be best to contact a professional repair service or the manufacturer for further assistance.

Bosch convection microwave HMC87151UC does not heat in convection mode.

The issue you're experiencing with your Bosch convection microwave not heating in convection mode could be caused by a few different things. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the microwave is set to convection mode and that the temperature and time settings are correct.
  2. Check the element: The bottom heating element is responsible for providing heat during convection mode. Make sure that the element is not damaged or burnt out. You can visually inspect it, if it is damaged it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the fan: The fan is responsible for circulating hot air during convection mode. Make sure that the fan is not blocked or damaged. If it is, it will need to be replaced.
  4. Check the control board: The control board is responsible for controlling the functions of the microwave. A malfunctioning control board could prevent the microwave from heating in convection mode.
  5. Check for a blown thermal fuse: A thermal fuse is a safety device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
  6. Check for a blown thermal cut-off: A thermal cut-off is a device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal cut-off is blown, it will need to be replaced.

Why has main oven stopped working?

The thermal fuse has shorted out, it is in the back of the oven. It went over temp and the fuse blew, you need the thermal fuse and an oven sensor

Many ovens have a bi-metal thermal fuse-also called a thermal limit switch-that protects the oven from overheating. The oven thermal fuse trips when the temperature in the oven gets too hot. After the thermal fuse trips, the oven won't heat. If the thermal fuse trips after the self-cleaning cycle, try resetting the fuse by turning off electricity to the oven, removing the exterior back panel, and pushing the reset button. If the fuse tripped during normal operation, replace it. If the problem persists, the electronic oven control board might require replacement. Reset the thermal fuse after replacing the control board.

If the thermal fuse is out on oven will the microwave still heat

If the Thermal Fuse is out, the oven will not get hot. you will need to purchase the fuse and replace it for it to work again. You will need to pull the oven out becuase the fuse is on the backside of the oven.

I used the self clean option and now my oven will

There is a thermal fuse inside the rear panel of the oven that frequently blows when using self clean option. This is where I would start looking.
