Select a component like radio, dvd etc,
look for a input button (some systems call it by other names) usually on amp itself. Press this button and it would show you analogue input/digital or direct. one of this setting should restore your sound, when wiping the amp this button is usually depress by the cleaning cloth

SOURCE: Rear Speakers no Sound.

The rear speakers will only work when the Dolby signal processor or one of the 4 sound fields has been selected. In other words, the rear speakers won't "work" when listening in just Stereo, and this can happen if the "By-Pass" button on the front of the receiver has been engaged.

The Soundbridge only has Audio OUTputs, so they would only work with INputs on a downstream device. Did it not come with a manual?

The Soundbridge is for all intents and purposes an external digital or analog source, not unlike a CD player, from the TX-NR509's perspective. ANY digital input must be assigned internally at the TX-509, which also has documentation here...

I have an Onkyo AV receiver model TX-NR509 and the internet radio stopped working. I have a good internet connection. How do I fix this?

I see on Onkyo's website that the iMerge service was discontinued in late 2008, Stating that:
"the selection of Internet Radio stations available through Net-Tune will decrease and eventually will cease."
You may want get on the Onkyo website and see what services are available for that receiver.

Onkyo tx-nr509 Receiver not talking to Panasonic TV TX-L42E31B

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. If the cable is long from the receiver to the TV it may cause video issues. Please try a reset of the receiver by pressing and holding vcr/dvr and then on/standby. When display shows clear let go. The receiver will shut down. Turn back on and test. This procedure will take the receiver back to factory defaults. Thank you, CB
