Quite simple if the mix says 1:50 ( one to 50 ) ,it means for every one ounce of oil you add 50 ounces of gasoline.
If the instructions say 1/50 ( one of 50 parts) ,it means for every let us say 50 ounces of mix there are 49 ounces of gas and one ounce of oil.I use a one liter wine bottle !000 ml ,I put in 20 ml of oil fill bottle with gas and shake well-ps (mark bottle -hate to take a swig). If you are into avoirdupois system use 1 ounce oil add 50 ounces fresh gas .
If this is a 2-cycle engine, Ryboi are 50:1
check age of gas. Cannot be more than
30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 50:1 ratio
(1 gal.) Gas to 2.5 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always
use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid,
permanent damage.
50:1 is 50:1 no matter whose 2 cycle mix you use. 50:1 is 2.6 ounces of 2cycle mix to 1 gallon (US) of gasoline. I recommend strongly to use a brand that contains fuel stabilizer. It will come in a 3.2 ounce bottle...still 50:1. The premium 2 cycle oils will be semi-synthetic or full synthetic and will claim "no smoke"
50 to 1 or on oil it will say 50:1. It means 50 parts gas to 1 part oil.Usually 3 to 4 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. The truth is it will not hurt to put in slightly too much oil. It will just smoke more out of exhaust & prematurely foul your spark plug. If you put in too little it will hurt the engine.
Since every engine is different the manufacturer almost always has it printed in the gas cap. It should look like 50:1 or 50/1 (50 parts gas to 1 part oil).
