Most likely pressure sensing switch. What is your model #? If your model has this part # W10292584 then it is the problem.

Sounds normal. Most machines do spit out a little water, rinse for a moment to loosen any trapped soap before they drain and spin.

Believe you are on right track would try door lock switch first easier to replace and most likely cause.

this problem could be your lid switch

The drain pump has failed & needs to be replaced.

Hi,
Its sounds like you have a siphon going on, this happens when the drain hose it too low during fill and as the water enters the unit it exits through the drain hose. To stop this the drain hose needs to be higher than the tub itself, meaning: raise the drain hose behind the washer to about control panel area. This will or should stop the siphon effect and allow the water to remain in the tub. If the drain hose is low this siphon will start again.

I had the same issue. When I started the machine it began agitating and then began to fill as if it is beginning the second rinse cycle - well I think it was.... SO, I threw in some towels and began the cycle at the second rinse part of the cycle. Low and behold, the next load started and finished just fine.

I hope this helps. This is just one of many issues with this machine, but luckily I haven't had to call the repairman yet! They all seem to revolve around the thing being out of sync.

Sounds like a hose off pressure switch or faulty switch/ however make sure drain connected ok 1st....
