Take handle off (either set-screw from side or bottom of handle, or phillips screw under cap on end of handle), pull off sleeve that's behind handle, unscrew nut that holds cartridge (strap wrench works great) and pull cartridge out.

SOURCE: replace delta single handle shower cylinder

Yes, I believe this unit uses a cartridge right? They do fit a little tight due to the small washers on the back side of the cartridge. If this is the one I'm thinking of, there are two leg like appendenges that come off the back and fit into small holes at the back of the manifold or what some call mixing valve housing.

SOURCE: Delta single handle faucet. Hot or cold no in between.

well they should be same size but unless you getting more of one then other then sound like mixing valve is not mixing. do have 3/4 hook up to mixing valve? you only need 1/2" to valve.

SOURCE: a single handle delta shower control lets water

Make sure the drip is continuous because the shower head will drip for a few minutes until it empties out. Replace the cartridge or washer kit if it keeps dripping.

SOURCE: repairing a delta single shower faucet. The handle

There is a nut that needs to be removed, allowing you to remove the ball assembly.

Look at the ring nut right below the #1 in this pic.
Your's should be similar to this one.

Im trying to fix a leak in my delta shower. I took the handle off but I don't know where to go from here. I don't know what model I have. It's a single handled faucet. Is it just a whole cartridge to...

first make sure the water to your house is shut off and if possible drained enough in a sink in the basement so that you here a sucking sound when you turn on the shower. yes there is a few different cartridges, but they have a lifetime warranty on them. so they are free. call around to different plumbing suppliers to see if they carry delta cartridges. then if you can do it remove cartridge and take with you to ensure the right one[note, a little plumbers grease or vaseline on the o-rings will make your install a little easier]

How do you remove the handle from a classic delta single handle tub faucet? I don't see a way to take off the handle itself to replace the cartridge.

On most delta models you pop the cap in the center of the handle. Then there is a screw to remove the handle. If it is old the bonnet can be hard to remove. Be careful, as you don't want to damate the complete faucet behind the wall.

How do i install a new cartdridge for a delta single handle faucet in my tub

Remove the shower control handle. If the cartridge is threaded there will be a nut on the top. Remove with a crescent wrench. If there is no nut then there will be a retaining clip and the cartridge will then pull straight out. Installation is the reverse procedure.

How do you remove the temperature knob and cover from a delta shower faucet, model 1824 (Monitor 18 series)?

http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/1824-74.html?document=pd&documentIndex=0 The very center piece of the temperature setter pops off with a screw driver. Remove the screw underneath it and everything else to the handle comes off. Firmly grab decorative sleev behind handle and pull. Firmly grab round brass collar and turn counterclockwise. carefull pry cartridge from brass body.

Pulsating water and poor hot water pressure

Based on your description it sounds like the pressure balancing valve could be gunked up with particulate from your well or just worn out. If your water is not filtered to that shower I would lean more towards particulate. Try to remove the cartridge and take it to a plumbing parts store for a match-up since Delta makes several cartridges and you want to get it right the first time.

We have a very old Delta & Single Handle Shower Faucet. The screw in the handle is now stripped since it was so rusted. How can we get the plastic knob off???

you can try drilling a small pilot hole and then use an "easy out" (get'em at any hardware store). or take some large pliers and break the plastic handle and remove the whole cartridge. Go get a new cartridge and handle. Make sure main water valve is shut-off prior do doing so though.

I have a Delta one knob shower combo, and it been working fine then all of a sudden I go to take a shower and no water comes out of the faucet,I don't think it;s frozen pipes is there guts inside the faucet...

Hello. Delta uses a replaceable cartridge inside the faucet. Most commonly they will drip if they are going bad. There is very little you can do to repair the cartridge but replacement is affordable. Usually by removeing the handle and the next trim piece you'll be at the cartridge which should pull out but may be stubborn due to water deposits.Take the part with you when you go shopping, there are many different cartridges.

Delta Series 1400 shower faucet, no or very little water out of the cold side of the faucet. Plenty of hot water. What can I do to fix this?

Remove the handle by opening the little red/blue cap. Use a hex key to remove the handle. Remove the tope ring holding in the cartridge in. Take out the cartridge and you will most likely see particles blocking it. make sure you use a little valve lube or vasline on the seals before you put it back in so you will have smooth operation. If that doesnt cure it just replace the cartridge at lowes or home depot and bring the old one.
