Recommend replacing the lamp, part# 915B403001 Also recommend you replace with a Phillips,Osram or genuine Mitsubishi lamp, as others are not likely to work or last long if they do work. (this I know from service experience)

Check your lamp. The popping sound was most likely the arc tube exploding. Make sure you only install a real Philips or Osram lamp. WD73737 Mitsubishi Genuine High Quality Original Projector Lamps now...
