Speakers in TV making a buzzing noise.

The speakers in my TV are making a buzzing noise. I have tried replacing the speakers, but nothing changes. I have also disconnected and reconnected the speaker cable under the main power board. Still no change. What is wrong? Thanks.

Try a reset to default settings. If that does not clear it I would suggest that it is either a hardware fault or interference
A constant buzzing might be interference from the power control card. What happens if you move the set elsewhere. Also, try it on another aerial, maybe there is a problem there....perhaps

SOURCE: Picture is blank when tv is turned on when cold.

There are likely to be many poor connections in the power supply section that are causing this. If you can solder and the unit is no longer under warranty, you can try resoldering any connections that appear grainy or have rings. That may resolve the problem. If not, than one or more capacitors have changed value enough for the internal circuits to mal-function. This will take some test equipment to locate easily. Try resoldering first and update this with the results. I'll try to locate the most likely parts that could cause this.

SOURCE: Humming noise through Tv speakers. Goes away if I

If the noise is coming in through the onboard tuner then repair may the only option. If you have a DVD or VCR and can connect the line level inputs (look like stereo connections) then do so and use that input, if the sound persists there then it is likely the audio circuitry - also a repair item.
Bypassing the TV sound system involves connecting your cable box, DVD or VCR (using the tuner from that unit select channels) audio output to a stereo system and then the TV becomes a big monitor (picture only)

Emerson tv problems

If you are using a cable or satelite box, the problem could be from mismatch of the volume level between the TV & the source. This is solved by properly adjusting the 2 volume levels to eliminate the buzz.

The issue could also be either your speakers or Input/Output PCB.

Also be sure it is coming from the speakers. There have been some issues of buzzing caused by vibrating transformers on circuit boards,

Speakers had a buzzing/vibrating noise. had them replaced. still making same noise. happens on very low and loud volume. any idea what it could be? possibly the sound board?

maybe just poor speakers.....had a similar problem with an old sony. Replaced the speakers twice and always had a noticeable buzzing. Try running external speakers (computer speakers will work) at low volume to see if you hear it in those. If so, you may have sound board issue.

Vizio speakers make a buzzing noise

It's not the speakers. I usually hear of this problem when hooked up to an HD cable box. You can adjust the volume on the cable box and also on the TV. I'll bet you don't have this problem when watching a DVD.

If the problem is what I think it is, your HD Cable box is set at a really low volume while your TV is set to a rather high volume. Try setting the TV volume to around one-third, then set the volume on the cable box until it's as loud as you'd ever want to hear it. With the TV at such a high volume, you're actually amplifying any stray electronic signals that the wires might be picking up, and the above solution will fix that.

Good Luck.

You will not only have better found, you will fix the speaker buzz problem.
