You'll need to tilt it or remove the back or pop the top to see where the leak is coming from. Unplug it first. I had my water pump crack and leaked. It was a plastic part not related to freezing though, and it only leaked when it ran a cycle. Perhaps your leak is prior to the water pump.
E15 is a leak into dishwasher base. Leak can be as simple as using to much soap powder or a split lower spray arm to more expensive fix of a leaking sump base or wash pump. Need to pull dishwasher out of cavity, remove side panels and front kick panel and run machine and watch base to see where leak is coming from. Have had them leak from 4 main places. Heat exchanger where large plastic nut screws from inside. Bottom of wash pump. Plastic sump base (mainly towards front of machine. And last place is a small pin hole can develop in stainless base of machine towards front of dishwasher. Check soap usage and lower spray arm for splits first.
There is fault on the drain pump, check the tilt of the machine and allow a slight tilt towards the drain so that the residual water flows out easily. If not the drain valve is clogged, check the drain filter. If the cycle keeps on repeating or going back it can be due to fault within the controller unit or memory. The leak can be due to failure of the lid washer/gasket which can be confirmed by observing the edges.
1. Unplug the washer 2. Tilt the machine forward about 45 degrees 3. Water will start pouring out from the base pan. Have some towels handy to clean up. 4. Put the machine back in its position 5. Plug it 7. You should be ready to go
Causes
- You may be using too much detergent. Try lesser amount next time. - There is a leak. If using less detergent does not solve it and this message keeps coming back, then the leak needs to be investigated.
Sounds like the pump is leaking. Tilt the machine back and put two 2x4s under the front legs. Shine a light under the machine and use a mirror to see where the water is coming from.
To change the pump:
Remove the two screws at the front right and left corners of the control panel. Tilt the panel back. Remove the 3 wire harness plug and the two gold clips on the right and left of the cabinet holding the cabinet to the back panel.
Tilt the cabinet forward and remove cabinet.
Locate the pump and remove the two hose clamps and the two clamps holding the pump to the front of the motor. Remove the pump.
Install the new pump
Reinstall the two hose clamps and the two clips holding the pump on.
Reinstall the cabinet, the three wire harness plug and the two gold clips holding the cabinet to the rear panel.
Tilt the control panel down and reinstall the two screws on each corner.
Unfortuneately, I think you have two seperate problems. Fortuneately, this is easy to verify. As far as the not spinning, it is generally caused by loose hinge screws on the lid. There is a arm that sticks off the back of the hinge to press on your lid switch. If the screws are loose, the arm generally wont be able to press the switch. Just tightening ther screws on the right and left hand sides of the lid corrects this. You can verify this has corrected the problem by setting the washer to spin without adding any water. As far as the leaking. Well, there are multiple sources for this, but the most common is the water pump. To verify this, unplug your unit and pull it out from the wall. Tilt the top of the washer back towards the wall until it rests by itself at about a 45 degree angle. You are looking for a white peice of plastic towards the bottom front of the machine. There will be 2 black hoses going into it. run your finger across the front side of it feeling for bumps. You may have had something get lodged in there and poke a hole. If you can not find any moisture on the pump (yes it can leak from the hoses of back of the pump also)look for any signs of water having leaked. (you generally get water spots just like in your dishwasher when you don't use a rinse agent). If you still can't see anything, tilt the unit back forward and add 1 cup of water to the machine. Tilt it back again and see if it's leaking. Continue adding water until you can get your leak then trace the water back. However, if you do in fact have a bad pump, they are availible from local appliance parts suppliers (in the phone book) or on-line from the maunufacture. Any troubles or other problems? Drop me a line back. Otherwise,
Great question, here is your answer. You have to open the console (usually 2 screws in the front or back where the console meets the top of the washer) Pull the bottom of the console towards you and swing it up. Remove the 2 brass colored clips underneath by pushing down with a large screwdriver at the point where it goes into the top of the machine and press down while simultaniously pushing towards the rear. Now there will be a connector with a white, green and gray wires in it. Unplug this connector. Now tilt the top of the washer towards you (the top, front and sides all come off as one assembly) The washer will fill with water, but you will not be able to drain it unless you install a wire between the white and gray wires on the machine side. ( I would do this with the unit un-plugged and make sure you have a good connection by spinning it before you add any water. Likely the leak will be coming from the pump (white peice of plastic in the lower front with 2 black hoses going to it). If so, pry the two clips off the pump with a screw driver. Put the pump over a bowl to catch any remaining water. Squeeze the clamps on the hoses with a pair of pliers to remove them. A replacement part is availible at a local appliance part store or on line from the manufacture's web site.
facing the washer locate the two screws. They will either be in the front or rear of the control panel and back them out far as you can. Once you have done that pull the control panel slightly forward, and tilt it back on the hinges. Now unplug the lid switch wire but don't forget to plug it back when your done. Next locate at the rear of the washer body the two gold clips then push forward, and take careful note of how they fit. Then pop them out with a screw driver tilt the washer body forward at 45 degree angel and walk forward with the body, and set it down.
