The washer dial setting just keeps spinning around. I'll put it on any setting it puts a little bit of water then the dial will keep turning...not washing turning!

Hi I'm Peter, Usually most problems as such have to do with the washer control switch that you use to adjust heavy, permanent press , or delicate cycle.. you will need to unplug the unit the dial should pull straight off with a little effort You will need to remove the screws in the back panel to access the wiring. You will at this time most likely take the top off above the switch. Most washers are made only by a couple of companies, Roper being one that makes a good portion for the name brand ones so all they do is put their name on it. Regardless go to the local appliance parts ware house ask around or check the yellow pages take your make, model, year if you have it and serial number and explain to them your problem and tell them you think it is the washer control switch and see if they have had to sell many. Odds are this is going to be your problem. Every washer I have ever owned and I keep them a pretty good while until my wife wants a new one I have had to eventually replace the controller. Good luck.
NOT A 100 PERCENT SURE BUT MOST WASHERS HAVE A PRESSURE SWITCH ON THE TO DETERMINE YOUR SIZE OF LOAD IF THIS SWITCH FAILS IT WILL KEEP THE WATER RUNNING.
put a little bit of water on it or blow on it i am not sure if it works but ive tried putting a little bit of water on just a little spred it around the disc part it worked when i done that
the washer is trying to reset its self. pull the washer out put the waste pipe to floor level to empty the water <not no your floor > plumb it back in then turn it on and it will sort its self out
may be a blockage in the sump hose or pump feed hose or the pump itself may be faulty. the dial will click round to tell you there is a fault. to reset turn the dial onto every DOT and turn on for 10 secs then off and onto the next dot it will flash for a couple of seconds to confirm.
Hi I fixed the problem by removing the filter at the bottom right hand corner of the washing machine and removing 2 x £1 coins that had got stuck there
