Problem in installing audio driver

most likely, the drivers on the CD are not compatible with Win 7. try to download the drivers from the Lenovo support site. look for a compatible Win 7 drivers for your audio controller.

When you had bought the motherboard, processors and other accessories from your retailer (for an assembled PC), or bought a trademarked PC or Laptop, they had certainly given you a CD containing DRIVERS compatible for your system which includes drivers for AUDIO, VIDEO, GRAPHICS CARD, WEBCAM, and others depending your system configuration. Now, just find out the CD and install those drivers included in it and you are done! By the way, if you have WINDOWS Vista^TM or Se7en^TM installed, you don't need such type of audio drivers at all! These OS have in-built audio and video drivers in it.

have u tried the CD that came with the notebook...it must have all the drivers....if Lenovo has given the driver in the CD then just install the driver for sound adaptor from that CD....if that does not work...try installing Win7...or get a RedHat Linux for free and install that...else u may have to use an external speaker thru the USB...use this USB sound adaptor, buy from Ebay for 1$...

if u wish u can try restoring the system but this will help you only if the software is corrupted, u can restore the system to the date when your sound was working fine, but if the hardware is gone then your will to get the mother board repaired

let me know whats ur computer model  or ur motherboard model is so i can send u the right drivers.

because the audio driver is not installed so it is looking for multimedia audio controller...

while the purchase of the laptop they will provide a manufacture cd which contains the drivers you must install from that ..

Let's start by removing all of the other audio drivers. After, reboot your laptop and install only the audio driver from the cd. After doing so, if the problem continues, then you may want to try repairing your windows system files - given that you have the installation cd that came with your laptop.
