Buy a small gadget called a Google Chromecast. Attach it to the back of your tv then download the Chromecast App onto your tablet. You can get the full set of instructions on YouTube.
Buy a Google Chromecast and plug it into your TV HDMI port. Setup is easy, just follow the onscreen instructions. You can cast your screen if whatever movie app you're using doesn't have specific Chromecast support. I don't work for Google! I find this works great for me and it wasn't hugely expensive either.
The tablet will need to have an A/V output. Typically a mini HDMI jack is used for tablets. If yours has the HDMI jack a cable is all that is needed. You can also buy a chromecast dongle as a wifi solution.
You should look at a Google Chromecast.
This is an HDMI device, that you can stream from your android to the ChromeCast connected to your TV.
They are actually quite cheap to purchase.
Then you use your tablet to control it.
It should also work with Netflix.
Which tablet? For most there will be an adapter you can buy or if you have one with a micro hdmi port you can get a micro hdmi-to-hdmi cable. Another option if it is an Android tablet is to buy a chromecast dongle for $35 from bestbuy.
