My Toshiba laptop is touch screen, but now it no longer works. When I try to enable pen and touch it says "no pen and touch input is available for this display"

yes if u can connect it wd the a server wd a port thn there is no need of hdd ..the main thing is u sould have a server near by

you're probably resting your hand while you're writing...
this happend to me when i attempted to draw/write/what have you.
the computer can't differentiate between the pen tip and your hand, so what you need to do is disable your finger as a pointing device:
1) go to control panel
2) click on the mobile pc
3) go to pen and input devices
4) you should see a TOUCH tab. click on it.
5) uncheck the box that says "Use your finger as an input device."
This should help. obviously, you lose the capability to use your finger, and the whole idea of touchscreen in general, but you can always enable this after drawing or taking notes.

You should have a "FN" key on the keyboard and one of the "F" keys should have a symbol that looks like the touch-pad, hold FN while using this key should disable it, failing this in control panel, then mouse and pointers, you should have touchpad setting there should be a disable button/radius.
