Hi ken If your machine has 2 holes in the tank it must have a primer first of all you you must fish out the pick up filter from the tank feed your new fuel line into one hole and out the filler hole connect the filter & put it back in that line goes to the bottom of the carby the next one from the top of the carby to the primer then from the primer back to the tank.

I have a PP131 string trimmer. I was replacing the primer bulb and the fuel lines broke. Does the Fuel Pick-up just lay down in the fuel tank or stands up in the hole in tank and does the line just fit...

The fuel pickup should lie in the bottom of the tank. It is weighted so that it will fall to the bottom of the tank when you turn the trimmer back and forth. The line should fit snugly through the hole in the tank so fuel does not spill out when the trimmer is turned up on its side.

Gas line for weed wacker which line goes to filter larger or smaller?

The smaller of the (2) lines will go to the in-tank fuel filter/weight. Depending on the model, the line will attach to the filter with about 2.5-3.0 inches of additional fuel line within the fuel tank.

The larger fuel line is the return line and needs to go into the fuel tank about 1/4 inch or so.

You should have both size holes at the bottom of the fuel tank to accommodate. Insure you are using the correct fuel line as a complete seal is necessary due to slight pressurization and to prevent leakage.

Craftsman Brush Wacker routing of fuel lines Model 358-795200 Was laying in bottom of top mount gas tank

Use new fuel line. There should be two things (besides fuel line) in the fuel tank. The small line has a (1) fuel filter attached and is routed to the lower outlet on the carb. This is the fuel supply line. Make sure there are a few inches of it inside the tank. (say enough to reach other side of tank). The larger line should have a (2) nylon connector inside the tank holding it. The connector stays right at the tank hole. That larger line goes to the closest outlet on the purge bulb. The other fitting on the purge bulb should have a larger line that connects to the upper fitting on the carb.
Feed enough length of fuel line thru tank holes to pull them out where cap is to put on the filter and nylon connector...then pull them back thru. WD-40 will aid in this procedure or any light oil.

The Craftsman Sim-Pul string trimmer starts and runs for one sec.

The larger line is the fuel return line from the purge bulb and should have the nylon connector (funnel thing) on it holding it in place inside the tank so the line won't pull out.The smaller diameter fuel tank line goes from the tank to the lower pipe fitting on the carburetor (fuel intake line). This line has a weighted fuel filter inside the tank on it.
New fuel lines are recommended every so often as the ethanol added to our gas nowadays wreaks havoc on the lines and carburetor as well. Get new lines...cut them long....feed them thru holes in fuel tank...grab with tweezers or needle-nose pliars....put on either the fuel filter or the nylon retaining nipple and pull the one with nipple down to bottom of tank...one with fuel filter can stay long to help draw fuel in the tank (yes, it moves around and is supposed to).

How to replace a craftsman weedeater gasline?

you hook one line to it the return line inside the tank

The line you used as a return line pull it back thru the gas cap hole and put that piece on one end of that line and pull it back in the tank until it stops and then hook the return line back where it belongs

Fuel Lines - 25cc Craftman weedwacker

Your Craftsman Trimmer/weedwacker:

Best Poulan Engine Match (probably real manufacturer):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/BC2400-Gas-Trimmer-Type-6/75.BC2400-Gas-Trimmer-Type-6.1.59.1.html

My decisions are being driven by my experience with Poulan chainsaws. Small hose in tank (long enough to reach all corners), filter on bottom, connects to lowest connection on carburetor. Small hose on upper carburetor connection to small fitting on primer. Large hose from large connection on primer through largest tank hole, roughly mid tank long. nothing on bottom. I suggest you leave the 2 connections on the carburetor long enough they can be swapped (just in case) then try it. if no go swap them.

Typical fuel system and a suggestion or two:

This is how I would configure it if a chainsaw, doubtful they would do something completely different. In defense of Jerry, he knows how it should be done, clarity of instruction could use some help. Good Luck. HTH

I need to replace to fuel lines on a Craftman 32cc trimmer. The old ones cracked apart. 2 of the lines look like 1/8" OD one line looks like 3/32" OD. Larger line looks like it hooks to filter, Smaller...

Depending on the brand of line you use, Tygon line is self sealing but seems to shrink faster then factory supplied because of the ethanol in the gas. The stone gas filter is designed to fall to the lowest part of the tank, not stop the line from falling out.

Gas line needs to go thru buttom of gas tank on sears weed wacker

Take your old line to a lawn mower parts store, ask for a new gas line of the same size. I would buy about a foot long. Push the line in the tank down into the tank(doing this with the tank empty), remove gas cap, turn upside down, a filter and your old line will fall out. Press the new gas line through the hole, push enough through that it comes out of the filler hole, place filter onto the new line, drop into tank, cut off excess and reattach to the carburator.

Craftsman 28cc gas weedeater gas line connections

The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

The other fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank, (about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them off square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.
