Actually, you could obtain a frequency converter - but they cost in the area of US $1300. Probably not what you want to hear.

Thanks for your answer that's nearly the cost of the machine any other suggestions

  • pbrown1226 Apr 14, 2015

None that are cost effective and will work.

You don't. The motor magnetic fields are set up for 60hz.

HOW DO I CHECK A PRESSURE SWITCH ON A MO.# WT1101C LG WASHING MACHINE, TO SEE IF IT MAKES CONTACT WHEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED

Found this -
The Water Level Frequency Sensor operation is based on the displacement of the *coil* attached to the diaphragm.
When the *coil* raises or lowers---it changes the electronically resonant characteristics of the oscillator circuit.
The water level is measured by the Main Board---by frequency readings.
I've never had a failed Water Level Sensor.
It is best tested while on the washer---by using the TEST MODE.
On most LG washers---the Test Mode is enabled by pressing and holding the SPIN SPEED and SOIL LEVEL buttons---and then pressing the POWER button (release all 3 buttons and wait for the door to lock).
Press the START / PAUSE button 4 times at one second intervals (Prewash Cold Water Fill)
The display read-out on the Control Panel will show the *frequency*
Empty---the frequency read-out should be about 255
A tub full of water should show a frequency of about 214 (depending on model number)
Some of the errors that can be displayed---relating to water fill are...
IE error:
Little or no water---usually caused by a failed Water Valve
FE error:
Too much water (overflow detected)---Can be a failed/stuck open Water Valve or blockage in the black air tube which is connected to the Water Level Frequency Sensor. Disconnect the tube from the sensor---and blow air back into the tub to clear obstruction.
To test the Water Level Frequency Sensor outside of the washer...
Use a test meter to check the ohms between pins 1 and 3 (should have between 21 & 23 ohms).

Remote doesn't work, any troubleshooting I can to or is it a "work or no work" issue...new batteries installed...manual controls work...any clues?? Thanks

if the remote is infra red operation you can check it with your mobile phone
turn the phone on to camera ,point the remote at the lens and press the buttons
If the remote is working there will be a white spot appear on the camera screen
If that is happening then it is the receiver in the machine that is not working
If the remote is a frequency unit , take it to an appliance repair shop and have the frequency operation checked with a frequency scanner

The Motor Controller module has received signals from the water level sensor (Ptx)
below normal frequency values.
Primary Source: Motor controller module.
Action: Replace Motor Controller module.
65. (01000001) Phase 5 and 6 - Pressure Transducer (Ptx) error frequency > 90kHz

Need instation dry machine220v60hz to22050hz at chile south america

You could replace the motor and the motor control board with ones rated for the lower frequency. Or you could use a Variable Frequency Drive (made by companies such as Allen-Bradley, ABB, etc) or simply try running the machine. The frequency determines how fast the motors will spin. At 50 Hz the motor will run approximately 17% slower, i.e., if the motor ran at 100 rpm it would now run at 83 rpm.

Hi I bought a expresso machine in Europe 200v. Is it possible to use it in America 110v?

You can't run the machine on 110 volts at all, because its heater is designed to work on 220. But you could have an electrician install a 220-volt outlet near where you want to use the machine. Then replace the European style plug on the machine's power cord with the appropriate American style so you can plug it in. This will provide the necessary power for the machine to operate.

There may be problems using the machine in this country though, beyond the voltage difference. European power-line frequency is 50Hz (Hertz, or cycles-per-second), while it's 60Hz in the US. This difference won't matter to the heating element in the machine. But your machine may not work properly if it has any electronic circuitry inside. There are two possible pitfalls.

First, the electronics in the machine will probably have a transformer in its power supply. That transformer will have been designed for a 50Hz line frequency. Running it at 60Hz might not be a problem, but it could also change the voltage seen by the rest of the circuitry, and this might cause damage. Also, some equipment uses the line frequency as its clock, which in this sense means more like a metronome, providing the beat by which everything else operates. Since our line frequency is faster, so is that clock, and this might throw off the unit's operation. A true time-of-day clock may run fast, for example, since it will gain time. Or the computer inside, if it has one, may not work correctly - or not work at all - if the line frequency is wrong. The only way to know would be to check the manual, which might say it doesn't matter, or to check the circuit board to see how it's designed.

So while the correct answer to your original question is "No, the machine can't run on American 110v", you may still be able to use it here. But without seeing the machine for myself, or having access to a manual to see what it says about power requirements, I can't tell you definitely. Hope this helps some, and thanks for using Fixya!

Monitor displays frequency out of range.....need help . How can I solve this?

The frequency is out of range because the VGA graphics card is not compatible or set right for the monitor's set of frequencies that it can work with.

Try another VGA graphics card.

Or upgrade the card to one with DVI, and upgrade the monitor to one of those 24" DVI Samsung monitors. They're nice. I got one from Best Buy a few years ago, and never regretted the larger desktop.

Good luck on this one.

Its 230kvaperkins generator it starts normally, but after thirty minutes it shuts dawn automatically indicating low frequency

Low frequency means the RPM of the motor has fallen off.

Check your fuel is NOT contaminated or fuel filters plugged.

Further tests should focus on the govenor system. Possibly it fails when engine gets hot. the frequency is directly proportional to the engine speed.

I work for Uniden. There is no way to reprogram the frequency. You need to replace that model with a different frequency, perhaps a 2.4 or 6.0.

I have two panasonic recorders whose remotes compete. I reset one to setting 1 and the other to setting 2 to fix. Now one of the machines will not respond to either remote (the other is fine). How do I...

Try changing the settings back to the original setting on the remote that goes to the machine that is not responding. You might consider investing in a universal remote where you can program or self detect the frequency for each machine, but has a multi channel program setting so that you can have both machine frequencies on one remote. Let me know if this works or you need further assistance.

Acer aspire 7003wsmi

The memory is located under a panel on the bottom of the machine. The chips are very easy to replace. Go to the link bellow, it will tell you the max memory and the frequency that your machine will hold. The frequency is very important, it is the type of memory and will be in either pc or mhz, ie.. pc2700, pc4200, pc 5300 etc.. or 266mhz, 333mhz, etc.. Make sure you buy the right frequency memory or it won't work.
