F9-- Failed Lock switch detected.

Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch.

If the wires are ok and, the switch is not stuck, replace it asap.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F9 error in your oven/range indicates an issue with the door locks assembly and/or the door latch. To start with check the door lock circuit, you can also try to jump start it to see if it's working. If it's not working then the Electronic Range control has gone bad and should be replaced, if it is working then the door lock circuit should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Hi. this F-7 code is referring to a Shorted Clear/Off Key due to membrane switch, control or connector. unfortunately, this is an integrated control assembly and, the entire control board must be replaced in this case.

Replacing the control(ERC,EOC) will fix this issue.

Stove door locked and continues to beep and flash code F9

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

I have the same problem, although my oven is 3 years old. I am having the door latch replaced today. cost $240. The repair company that I contacted sid that these ovens are their bread & butter!!! If I could afford it I would ship all of my GE appliances(which are only 3 years old mind you) to them and tell them to shove them!! I alreadt spent over $200 on my GE dishwasher which at the time was only 1 1/2 yearsd old.Did you clean the oven before the error code started [email protected]

F9 code on stove

Here's what F9 code means:
1. Door lock safety circuit on ERC sensed Replace the door latch assembly
2. Door Lock Warning Check door lock circuit or Replace Clock
Try pressing and holding the door latch to unlock position and then press cancel for a few seconds. The latch should return to its original position.
