Save the pictures and videos on the card. Try reformatting the card in the computer, and then again using the camera. The first reformat will ensure the card is empty, and then the camera reformat will ensure that it is recognized by the camera. If the camera reformat will not work, try a new card.

Look inside the DCIM folder. You should see another folder, then the pictures inside that inner folder.
Better yet, don't connect your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z981 camera. It says my internal memory is full. What do I do?

You have to transfer the pictures and videos in the internal memory to your computer. For this you have to download and install Kodak software on your computer.

( Make sure the computer is connected to the Internet. When you connect the camera to the computer, the KODAK Software Downloader automatically runs. Follow the prompts to download and install KODAK Software.)

Please follow the steps below to connect your camera to your computer;
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Use the KODAK Camera USB Cable, U-8 to connect camera to computer. (Use only the cable included with this camera!)
3. Turn on the camera.
After the software is installed, follow the prompts to transfer pictures and videos to your computer.

* If the downloader does not run, find and launch it:
• WINDOWS OS: in My Computer
• MAC OS: on your Desktop

Note: You can use the Memory card to save the pictures and videos taken on your camera. In this case you can also use a card reader to transfer your pictures/videos.This prevents the user from connecting the camera every time to transfer data.Eject the memory card and insert it into the card reader.

Please feel free to ask your doubts. Thanks for choosing Fixya.Your valuable feedback would be appreciated.

I put my memory card into laptop, message says my card is full, and yet i delete my pics from camera., do i have to delete from memory card also, if so how do i do that.

Did you delete the pictures from the internal camera memory and not the SD card? An easy way to solve this problem would be to insert the card into your computer and open up "My Computer". In here you should see your memory card mounted as a usable drive. Open up the SD card, select everything in it by pressing "Control" + "A" and then hitting delete. This will clean everything off of the card. If you want to save the files from the card first, simply make a folder somewhere on your PC and drag all of the files from the SD card into that folder after pressing "Control" + "A". If you are still getting an error stating your card is full after removing them this way you may need to re-format the card or it may be malfunctioning.

I have 1Gb card in my a470 power shot. It was having around 600 snaps. Yesterday i clicked abt 40 snaps but later only latest 8 r visible. Computer memory shows 956 mb out of 1024mb. i am not knowing what...

I may not be totally understanding the question but from the numbers you supplied I'd have to say the memory card was full and could not save any more mb to the card. It might be at the point where it's not showing a "FULL" message on the screen but full enough that it can't take anymore pictures. Another thing is there is always space used by the memory card (operating system) that requires space so out of a 1gig memory card you only get about 950mb of storage space. If you are missing pictures it is possible that they are in the camera internal memory.

I have several pictures on my camera I took a couple of days ago that show up in the view but will not upload to my computer. I deleted some pictures and video files to free up space but it did not help....

Transfer all of your picture to your PC, format your memory card to make it new again with full space of memory.
Or just buy a new memory card with larger capacity to get many pictures saved in it.

Hope this help and RATE please.

My camerais showing memory full what do i do

Basically you need to delete some pictures or move them off the camera or memory card. If you use your usb able and softwarethat came with the camera it should move them over and store them on your pc or laptop and then you will have free space.

If you don't copy/move them off then your options are to delete the pictures or change the memory card with a empty one. A new memory card should give you enough room for thousands more pictures if you buy a big capacity card. You will want to check your user manual as to the type of card to get.

Connect you camera to the computer using the USB cable. It will be shown as a removable drive(If the autorun is enabled windows should list the option to transfer pictures.Choose this option if it does so). Open the drive and and transfer the pictures to your computer.

Hope this helps,

How do I clear the memory so I can take more pictures I can only take about 22 pictures and I have a 1GB sandisk card, then it says my memory is full

You can connect your camera to your PC or laptop. then transfer all your pics to anyone of it. After that you can delete all the pics from the camera memory card. hence providing you with a full 1GB free space to click as many pics you want to.

Please respond back if this does not resolve your problem.

Have a great day.

Internal memory full cannot take pictures

Some ideas:

- delete the photos you don't want to keep to free up space
or
- connect the camera to your computer and download the photos. Then delete them from the camera
- buy a memory card to have more memory on your camera (with a 1GB card you can take several hundreths of photos).

If you want more precise infos, post at least the camera model.

Cheers
