Have a Vizio E601i-A3 tv. It is not detecting any wireless networks all of a sudden. Was connected and watching Netflix, then nothing. Have reset the modem and other things are connected, but tv...

Could be a corrupt Wi-Fi receiver module, before you rip it apart if it’s not under warranty.
Buy an external USB Wi-Fi adapter and insert it into the TV see if that resolves the issue.
Unless your an electronic geek or you have the electrical diagram you really won’t know what the WiFi unit looks like or if it’s even a detachable board. It maybe built into the entire circuit.

Modern mobile devices such as Android-powered smartphone Droid or Apple iPod Touch portable media device seem to do your best if you connect to the Internet. You can download new information, the browsers can surf the web and online applications can enjoy the full functionality. Setting up a WiFi connection on any device will allow full access to the Internet via a wireless network. Both devices have the possibility of links built into their operating systems to configure. IPod Touch 1. Select "Settings" on the front. 2. Select "Wi-Fi and wait a moment as iPod touch detects WiFi networks nearby. 3. Select your WiFi network from the list when you get home, or a WiFi network around when you are away from home. 4. Enter any encryption keys or passwords required to log on the network and the iPod Touch can take a few moments to connect. 5. Look for the WiFi icon in the status bar at the top. It looks like an inverted triangle with a rounded tip, composed of multiple curved horizontal lines. If this icon is present, you are connected to the network. If not, try connecting again or select another network. Droid 1. Tap the menu button at the bottom and select Settings. 2. Select "Wireless & Networking," then "Wi-Fi settings" and leave the droid few minutes at a nearby WiFi network available. 3. Select your WiFi network from the list when you get home, or a WiFi network around when you are away from home. 4. Enter any encryption keys or passwords required to log on the network and the iPod Touch can take a few moments to connect. 5. Look for the WiFi icon in the status bar at the top. One reason I can think of for your problem is this: your TV detects several other protected WiFi networks (probably from your neighbors) in addition to your own, and it is likely that you entered the password for your network when trying to connect to another network. To check if this is the case and if you don't know your network's name (actually this is called the network's SSID), do the following: turn off your modem/router, then check what WiFi networks are detected by your TV. Write down the names of those networks. Turn your modem/router back on and see what networks are now detected by your TV. The new one on the list is your WiFI network's SSID. Make sure that you connect your TV to that new network.

Won't connect to internet

Step 1:

Go To Settings

Step 2:

Touch the WiFi settings under the settings app. It should be the first, at the very top

Step 3:

Slide your finger over the WiFi logo. It should then say that WiFi is online

Step 4:

After a few seconds of letting your phone check for nearby internet connections, click the correct network that you wish to connect to.

Step 5:

If your WiFi network has no password you should be able to click on it and then click connect and you should be fine.

Step 6:

If your WiFi network has a password. Enter your password and then click connect.

Step 7:

Then your done! :)

Hp pavilion dv6 won't connect to broadband but is connecting wireless

Wifi is broadband. Look in network properties and make sure only one network adapter is available. Microsoft systems seem to have trouble getting online when more than one is on. Disable the wifi and see if it changes. You may have to restart to allow the router to give it an ip address.

To set up your WiFi network, tap the Menu Key > Settings > Wireless & networks > WiFi settings. If WiFi is not checked, tap WiFi to turn wireless on, and wait for your tablet to detect nearby networks. Tap the name of your network and enter a security password, if required.

WiFi networks that are configured as private or closed do not display the network name on WiFi-enabled devices. To Join a closed or private network, tap Menu Key > Settings > Wireless & networks > enter the WiFi network name, security, and password.

Hi,

Here's how to connect online using wifi on your phone:

Make sure you already are in a WiFi hotspot area.
Once you are in a wifi hotspot, Go to Menu option and then proceed to Wifi.
Switch on Wifi .
Automatically your phone will detect wifi
If doesn't show any wireless network , click search.
If no name appears WiFi hotspot, means you're less close to the hotspot or hotspot for WIFI
If there is, Just simpy choose the network and Click Connect.
After notice that the wifi connection is connected, open web browser or Opera Mini or chat applications such as eBuddy or Nimbuzz.

if you are on a wifi zone it must be detected by your laptop if not maybe your network connection setting for detecting wifi is off. try changing the settings of your network connection. and change it to auto detect the network connections

Can't detect network

Hi, Some models of Toshiba Laptops have a slide switch either on the side or front to physically activate the built-in Wifi. Some models also will not work with some models of Access Points if using the built-in Windows Wireless Configuration Utility. A workaround is to install the Wireless Configuration Utility of the WiFi manufacturer. If your Toshiba is using the Atheros WiFi chipset, you may need to install the Atheros 802.11a/b/g Wifi Client utility to use rather than than that pf Windows. The file name is atheros_wpa_client.exe and you can just Google it. Hope this be of some help. Post back how things stand or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

Try removing battery, and holding power button for 30 seconds and then replace battery and power on and test.

***the Ethernet cable plugged into ur Netbook will negate the Wi-Fi*** But, Yes, I agree, if u can't find internet options and Wi-Fi switch (Wi-Fi is in internet settings), u should connect via an Ethernet cable...if u can connect to the internet with a cable this means that the Wi-Fi is turned off. U see, the Ethernet cable plugged into ur Netbook will negate or disable the Wi-Fi. Also, try unplugging Ethernet cable & finding Wi-Fi switch inside internet options. Since the Ethernet cable negates the Wi-Fi, maybe unplugging the Ethernet cable will solve ur problem.
