Original settings in advanced/service menu?

Advanced/service menu settings got adjusted and want to change back. Anyone have a screen shot of their "mute 1 8 2 power" menu to show me the default settings, specifically those in the Options menu for Front Color, etc.

SOURCE: My HDMI 1 is dull but when i put it on HDMI 2 its

Hi chaz,

I see that your HDMI 1 is having problems when used and on the HDMI 2 everything is ok and clear.

I believe this cannot be fixed since this is going to be a hardware issue, there are no settigns for the HDMI to change any settign rgarding video, the only setting you can get is for the whole LCD TV itself and regardless of what input you use the settings will be the same.

You may need to have that HDMI port check from the manufacturer if you still have warranty on your LCD tv.

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day,

SOURCE: NO COLOR displayed from External Input (BLUE RAY/DVD/CABLE and PC) but COLOR IS present in Menu Options?

If it did work before, it should work now. But if you are connecting a new device, make sure you are using the right inputs.
Yoou still can get the manual online, but to point out what I mean I send one picture about how to connect (Only one example) where you have to use 3 colours on the cable.
When connecting a video recorder (low quality, you only need 1 colour, for the composite entry (Yellow)

6b5ea5f2-f6bc-472b-9bb0-b57fb381b17a.png
The link is for the manual:

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200307/20030708161858250_SPN4235_00487A_0514.pdf

Testimonial: "Harrie I appreciate your providing this input but you are missing the Point along the way... If I am getting a CRISP PICTURE, then I must have the Video AV (Yellow) into the correct input. I also have the Red/White (Left/Right) in the correct places. What I am missing is WHY would there be NO COLOR but a CRISP Picture? This is a Used TV that a friend of mine was given and it does not have Color for a Picture from an External Input but the Menu DOES have color. I have tried to make changes to the MENU but nothing seems to work and it is ONLY a BLACK and WHITE Picture. Any thoughts as to WHY an Input would limit Color?"

Why is screen so dark

Good question and many have tried to deal with this. Sony suggests you 1) go to the manual for this particular set and thereby adjust settings or 2) try replacing the lamp. https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38985/p/61659,63345,63582/c/65,66/kw/rear%20projection

Here is an link to a pdf of the online manual:

https://docs.sony.com/release/KDF-E3000.pdf

There does not appear to be a consensus on how to fix the problem. Not everyone appears to experience it. Some manual adjustments, others try cabling swaps which abandon HDMI.

Copy down the original setting of any feature before you change it. That enables you to back track out of any trouble.

Others have suggested turning off the automatic dimming feature that taps a light sensor which detects room light.

1) Press the "Menu" button on your remote to load the Sony Bravia system menu.
2) Use the cursor keys to navigate to and select the "Picture Settings" option.
3) Scroll to the "Ambient Sensor" option from the Picture Settings menu and select the "Off" setting.
Adjust the set, (take a look at Advanced settings.)

Notice that there is a reference to a problem with the E3000 model on the following page:

https://sites.google.com/site/sonylcdrptvproblems/

Bear in mind that the first two suggestion were directly from Sony.

Others have had success by turning off in the Advanced settings, the Advanced Contrast Enhancer.

Sony will probably have you unplugging attached devices to check the affect or making swaps with cables. Be sure to check your cable configuration against the what the manual uses.

There is no single fix to this.

Compaq fs740 text too faint and fuzzy to read well

Firstly you need to switch to the monitor's optimal resolution of 1024x768 @ 85Hz and before anyone posts anything about resolution 1024x768 @ 85Hz is the optimum not the maximum. To change to this resolution: Assuming you are using Windows XP click with the right mouse button an an empty part of the desktop and select Properties (or click Start, then click Control Panel then click Display), on the Settings tab, under Screen resolution, drag the slider bar until it says 1024x768 and then click Apply. Also in Display settings you'll find an advanced button, in the advanced panel you'll see the option to adjust the refresh rate, try adjusting this to 85Hz. Now press the Menu Button on the front of the monitor and press + of - until you see an option called "Degauss" and press the select button on the front of the monitor, your screen will do a disturbing jump and flicker accompanied by a metallic thud, this is normal. If this doesn't help message back.

Internet explorer is not appearing in normal view. how can i change it back to noraml?

It kind of depends on which version of Internet Explorer you are using, and what you mean by normal view. Do you mean something like it is not full screen, or something else? If it is not full screen, simply click the middle of the 3 small icons on the top right. If you need to restore Internet Explorer to original condition, for IE7 you:
Restore Internet Explorer 7 to its default settings To restore Internet Explorer to its default settings:

  2. Click on Advanced tab.

  3. Click the Restore advanced settings button.

  4. If You cannot use Internet Explorer, click the Reset button and then click OK. Otherwise, click OK to exit the Internet Options window.

Screen is pink

have you tried the video settings by right-clicking the desktop then properties>settings tab then either manually change colour support or go advanced. If it doesn't budge, try turning off the system, go to safe mode if it still has a problem, try reinstalling your graphics or video drivers.

Did you do anything in particular before this happened?

SCREEN MESSAGE - MODE NOT SUPPORTED

You have set a resolution that is too high or incompatible with your monitor. I assume you are using Windows. Turn the computer on and immediately keep pressing F8 on the keyboard until the 'Windows Advanced Options Menu' appears. Use the Up and Down keys to select 'Enable VGA Mode' Press enter and your screen will work again when windows starts. Now go to the display properties and click 'Advanced' then click the 'Monitor' tab and tick 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display' OK everthing and now you should be able to adjust the resolution without getting a blank screen again! Good luck and come back to comment soon. Regards
