Try using warm water in the watertank, important that the water is not too hot, it can cause leakage in the o-rings in the fluidsytem.
Repeat the procedure a few times, if nothing helps, turn off the machine and wait 1 hour and try again.

If you can`t get around this message, then the flowmeter needs to be changed.

Using hot water with descaler works even beter then just hot water. I had to repeat the filling process many times with hot water with descaler before the flowsensor started working again

We have the Impressa F60 and ran into the same problem. I finally called Jura support. The tech told me to remove the grounds tray, and to take a dry paper towel and reach way back inside and wipe out the grounds. On my model there is a plastic flap that you have to go past and wipe the top of the chamber. Anyway, I was HIGHLY skeptical that this would work, but it did! Now, every time I empty the grounds I wipe this out. If we forget, the open tap issue eventually comes back.

My Jura Capresso E 8 is stuck in open tap filling system. I open tap it says filling system, it says close tap, when I close the tap it goes back into open tap. Float valve looks fine, water is moving

Open the tap with frother spout off. This happened to mine and I took the frother tip off and opened tap with tip off. Water filled and I closed tap...Machine returned "Ready". I heated water in microwave for three minutes- placed frother tip in hot water and all kinds of gunk came out. Lesson learned- Do a thorough cleaning of frother by immersing it in very hot water at least once monthly- even if you don't use it

Filter change

this was absolutely the problem with my Jura Capressa E-8 machine. I followed instructions after changing the filter. I opened tap-machine stated that it was filling system- I closed tap when instruction. The open tap remained on because no water was filling system. I took the frother tip off and opened tap. Water filled system (container under frother). I closed tap without the frother tip. Machine Ready.... (I heated water in microwave for three minutes) I placed the frother tip in there and used a wooden skewer to ensure frother was clear of debris... Worked like a charm!

Display tap on Jura Impressa E75 say close tap, where is tap please

The tap is the dial on the left turn it, then it will turn the tap off. If it is repeating this then it may need to be decalcified.

How to open for cleaning jura ena5 coffee machine

The question is, how to open the machine? I found elsewhere one should unscrew the back logo, but it is slippery. Seems like a special tool would be needed, but I did not find it.

"Open tap" message displayed.

The machine needs to fill up the system. Open the valve for steam/hot water

I keep getting open tap and when I open tap, its says close tap. I have unplugged it and it still continues the loop.

I have had this happen when trying to change filters and go through the rinse procedure. For me the problem was that the little hole on the frothing wand was plugged. Once I cleared the little chuck of dried milk everything started working again.

When turned on it will prompt "Open Tap" "Close Tab"

There are two possible causes. One is easy the other is hard. So try the easy one first. Remove the grinds tray completely, and place you hand in the cavity that it normally takes up. moving you hand slowly in, feel towards the top. you will find a little flap, past that flap there is the tamper and coffee filter at a slight angle. This may be blocked, so clean with a cloth.
If that does not solve the problem (and 90% of the time it does) then you may have a small spec of dust that is stuck in the water system, this needs to be flushed and cleaned. The best place to do that is with a Jura approved center. Unless you are technically minded. Your local Jura chaps sound like they need a k!$k up their behind

I can't get past the 'open tap'/'close tap prompts on my Impressa

I had this problem with my Ena 3. The difference was that water was actually passing through the nozzle, but when I turned the dial back to the coffee symbol it would just tell me to open the tap again.

The solution was simple thanks to bergend's post, although I'd never have thought of it independently. I emptied the water tank and filled it back up with luke warm water instead of the cold water I had been using. After the first "system filling" round, the machine continued with the setup program fine.

So, to others with this problem: don't use too cold water in the tank for the first setup, even though the manual tells you to. Luke warm works great.
