There are two types of reset. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Hard reset of my hp ipaq 510 i forgot my password

s.gifs.gifHP iPAQ 500 Voice Messenger Series - Resetting the Device
Sometimes you need to reset your iPAQ if, for example, it is not responding to your pressing a button or your tapping the screen. There are two types of resets.
  • Soft Reset - A soft reset stops all running applications, but does not erase any programs or saved data.
  • Factory or Hard Reset - A factory or hard reset clears all user-installed settings, programs, and data, and restores your iPAQ to factory settings.

Performing a Soft ResetPerform a normal or soft reset to stop all running applications, to restart the iPAQ after installing a new application, or if the iPAQ locks up.CAUTION:Make sure to close all running applications before performing a soft reset, since a soft reset erases all unsaved data in such applications.Perform a soft reset using one of these two options.
  • Turn off the iPAQ by holding down the End key.c01118005.jpg1 - End Key
  • Remove the battery of your iPAQ.

Performing a Factory or Hard ResetPerform a factory or hard reset when there is a need to clear all settings, programs, and data from the RAM.CAUTION:Performing a hard reset will return the iPAQ to its default settings and it loses all information (files and settings, among others) that is not recorded in the ROM. Back up all important information or data before performing a hard reset.Follow these steps to perform a hard reset and return your iPAQ to factory settings.
  1. Turn off your iPAQ by holding down the End key.
  2. Then hold down the center of the 4-Way Navigation key and turn on the iPAQ again while continuing to do so.c01118006.jpg1 - 4-Way Navigation Key2 - End Key
  3. A confirmation screen opens asking whether you want to perform a hard reset or not. SelectYes . The iPAQ will reboot with its original factory settings.
NOTE:The applications and data present on your iPAQ before performing the hard reset can be reinstalled by synchronizing your iPAQ with a computer using ActiveSync/WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center).NOTE:If you don't want the iPAQ playing a tune after you turn it on, create a new text document and save the document as StartUp.wav. Replace this new document with the file on your device.

Hi,

1 how to perform hard reset on Nokia C3
To perform a hard reset on the C3, press *#7370# and press Dial. The phone will request the security code that is 12345 by default. Since the hard reset will erase all date in your phone, you should backup important data before performing a hard reset.
2 how to perform a soft reset on Nokia C3

update site - http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownload.aspx?p_id=133&cat=2&dl_id=2

also if that doesnt work try doing a soft and/or hard reset -

Performing a soft reset

Perform a soft (normal) reset to clear all active program memory and shut down all active programs. This is useful when your device is running slower than normal, or a program is not performing properly. If a soft reset is performed when programs are running, unsaved work is lost.

To perform a soft reset

1. Pull out the stylus, then remove the back cover.
2. Use the stylus tip to press the RESET button (red) located at the opening of the stylus bay. Your device restarts and displays the Home screen.

Performing a hard reset

If a normal reset does not solve a system problem, you can perform a hard (full) reset. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its default settings-the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. You will lose any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device, and only Windows Mobile® software and other pre-installed programs will remain.

Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Make sure that any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before you perform a hard reset.
Important If Encrypt files when placed on a storage card is enabled, backup all files from the storage card before using Clear Storage, hard reset, or updating the operating system. Otherwise you will no longer be able to access the encrypted files on the storage card. Use ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center to transfer files between your storage card and computer. After the procedure, copy your files back to the storage card.

Hard reset

Occasionally, you may need to reset your device. A normal (or soft) reset of your device clears all active program memory and shuts down all active programs. This can be useful when your device is running slower than normal, or a program is not performing properly. A soft reset is also necessary after the installation of some programs. If a soft reset is performed when programs are running, unsaved work will be lost.
You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a full reset). A hard reset should be performed only if a normal reset does not solve a system problem. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its default settings — the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile software and other pre-installed programs will remain.
To perform a soft reset
Use the stylus to press the RESET button found on the lower left side of your device. Your device restarts and displays the Today screen.

  3. Press on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.
