How do I plug the 3 wires from speakers into Dell XSP 8700?

The color codes don't match up.

  • Anonymous Apr 06, 2015

The speakers are HK-595 and have a black lead labeled rear, a green lead labeled stereo and a yellow lead labeled digital. The back of the computer has a blue socket labeled stereo in, a green socket labeled line out, a pink socket labeled mic, and orange socket labeled center out/woofer, a black socket labeled rear, and a grey socket labeled middle surround.

Trying to wire in a after market pioneer stereo into my 1995 f150 4wd have looked at color code schematics but from the speaker plug harness colors do not match have started pulling left door panel

They sell a installation kit so you dont have to cut any wires. You unplug the factory unit install the proper plug into the new unit and factory harness and your done.

Our Bunny chewed thru the wire going from speaker to computer

The speakers are inexpensive. If the wire goes into the back without a plug, it may be easier to buy new speakers. But if you can solder, then the wire can be repaired. There is no voltage in the audio wire so you cant be hurt if you try. Just match color for color if you want to give it a go. This link may help How To Fix Damaged or Broken Audio Cables

Replacing car radio (JBL) with a Pioneer (DVD) Toyota Sequoia

I have used what is called a toyota car harness to iso adapter for this sort of thing .
aerpro APP0141 check at your local auto shop
https://automotivesuperstore.com.au/aerpro-app0141?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtJbTBRDkARIsAIA0a5MqtkIR92nbYhY-M6qqHBjfuaEZVlBE7lJuD_VMtvlU3MCtIRUgNpEaAnfREALw_wcB
it converts your toyota to a international standard ISO and then you buy a Pioneer {whatever model number } to ISO and then you can plug them together and get the radio and car talking to one another.

I have a 93 Ford Laser hatch back and I need to know the radio wiring color codes for the wires that plug into the back of the radio-cassette. 1)Orange-green tracer 2)Orange-black tracer 3)Grey-green...

OK this is what I did: First I soldered a wire each end of a 1.5v battery. I then bared the other ends of the two wires and tinned them. Then I touched the wires coming from under the dash in pairs until I heard the resultant sound coming from a speaker. This then told me the position of each speaker in the car. From there it was just a matter of noting the color codes for each pair of wires and from which speaker they came. My Gregory's Laser KH manual had wiring codes, but entirely different to my vehicle. Also there is no indication of what color matches what letter code! Cheers. Gerry

I am changing my head unit and i dont know what color wires go to what on the stock one

The auto and radio Dons have blessed us with a universal color code for all vehicles-that I've noted in all the systems that I've changed. If you're swapping out the stock Chrysler system you'll need to go to Walmart-or a store that sells audio equipment-to buy the Dodge/chrysler/jeep adapter. You connect it to the factory connect and splice the same colors to the radio. Most times the wire have the speaker it goes to written on it. If you have already cut the connector off and can't reconnect the wires, just match up the wires with the matching colors. Hope this helps.

NO SPEAKERS SOUND

Ok, there is a plug that looks green on the back of the unit. Match the color coding on the back of the unit and on the sound card. Make suire its plugged in the right hole because you got LINE IN- MIC and SPEAKER.. if its a 7.1 sound card then you probably got CENTER- RIGHT AND LEFT and so on.. check your cabling..

My computer speaker wire has a short.

The audio cables normally have only two wires in them, one being shielded the other not. You should be able to splice the two together to fix the problem, if there is no colour coding you wont cause any damage to anything if you get them back to front the first time round guessing.

I need radio color codes for a 2001 fordranger

The simplest way to figure out wire colors on the ford is to purchase the radio wiring harness from a stereo shop like a Metra or Scosche harness and match the aftermarket wiring color code to the opposite side (vehicle side) of the radio plug. If you are just replacing speakers, then removing the speaker from the car with the plug attached, you can easily figure out polarity. Just connect a 9v battery to the speaker leads on the speaker (NOT THE CAR) for a second will make the cone either pop out or **** in. When the cone pops out, note the polarity of the + on the 9v battery. This is the positive for the speakers. Hope this helped.
