If it's not the cables that you are using, it could be a number of things. Bad solder connection or corrosion on one or more ribbon cables. Maybe a weak return contact on a 1/4 inch female jack. Try putting a signal into the mixer and then inserting a male 1/4 inch plug into the different jacks to find out which jacks disconnect the signal when inserted. Even when they are not used these jacks tend to become slightly corroded and the signal is lost. You can give the jacks a burst of contact spray and 'work' a male plug in and out of the jack a dozen times.

Sometimes External drive mounts on IDJ2... Sometimes it wont... Drive lights up each time... BUt will work for a couple days... Then wont work... Its a seagate Freeagent drive... 750gb

I spoke with Numark regarding intermittent cutting out of 750g Seagate hard drive. They claim the problem is with the size of hard drive and recommend using nothing larger than 500g. Bit of a shame really. Surprised no firmware upgrade to incorporate newer storage solutions.

I cant get the djio to play through my mixer

i have the same problem. My wild guess is incompatible dj software and numark drivers. i am using vdj pro 7 but i tried to downgrade to 5.02. and use single output ---------- headphones -------------- two cards, and assigned them to numark usb audio device, and the sounds goes thru my mixer. but when i use the vdj version 7 or higher cannot produce a quality sound. it got some noise coming out.

Trying to setup Traktor PRO with the DJ IO and Stealth Control as the mixer... cant get the other deck to play on my headphones, and also having trouble figuring out the OUTPUTS in the properties menu of...

the outputs in Traktor should be set up like this; Chanel 1 (3&4) Chanel 2 (2&1) this set up will give you a stereo sound coming out of Traktor using Numark DJ IO. Make sure the output is set up External and the Audio Devise is Numark DJ IO.

My power cord was pulled out while still on.

Are you talking about a Numark DXM mixer? If so, why would you say you have an issue with a CDJ-800? Numark Parts can be found here.

If not, you need to be more specific as to who makes your mixer.

No signal going into mixer.

Did you buy the gear new? If not, the issue might be with the meter. Also, sometimes the signal isn't loud enough to engage the meter, so try cranking up the Trim and Volume (Master & Line), of course, make sure the volume on your amp is down, so you don't blow anything.

Good luck.
