Try one of these two recommendations. If there is a key symbol, press and hold for 4 seconds.

If no key symbol, cut the power to the unit and the child lock will stop working. (You are probably going to have to reset the clock, etc. )

How do I turn the child lock off on Bosch series 8

Which model do you have? On the front-loading washing machine, WAW28790IN and the WAW24440IN, press and hold the Ready in +/- button for 3+ seconds to toggle the child lock on and off. For the WAW28460AU, press and hold the Finished In +/- button for the 3+ seconds. On all of these models, this button is below the LCD panel on the right hand side. The directions for engaging the child lock are on the button or just below it in a much smaller font than the primary feature of the button.

I found most of the serie 8 ovens have a dedicated button for the control panel lock. On the HRG6769S6B, press and hold the button with the key icon (the middle button to the left of the start/stop button) for 4+ seconds to toggle the child lock on and off. For the HBG672BS1B, this button is the lower button to the right of the start/stop button. Again press and hold for 4+ seconds.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number if you need more information about the control panel/child lock for your specific appliance.

Why wont fan turn off after use in oven bosch model hbn 13n5,1b

It should turn off after a while. The fan is actually the cooling of the case, it runs longer if I have used a higher temp setting. If it does not stop after app. 20 min something is broken.

Touch keys on Bosch built in over HBL33 not responding

Not sure about your model but I have a bosch hgs7152uc model. I found that removing two screws and the metal panel in rear of the stove (at top where display is) will provide access to the control panel. There are four screws holding the display circuit panel in place. Two of the screws were not tight which allowed the circuit panel to move backwards when pressed. Tightening all four screws made the display operational again. The screws had lock tight on them but apparently they came loose anyhow over time

My washing machine is beeping and showing the key light and not turning on. The door opens though but it seems to be saying its locked!? It doesn't show the cycle time either. How can i get it to go...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch, but you didn't specify the model number. It sounds like the "child lock" selection has been activated, either intentional or accidental.

To reset it on many Bosch it is as follows...(if this fails, please provide your model number)

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

**Many times you can also push and hold the start key for several seconds and this too will deactivate the selection...on various models**

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly and a short testimony is also appreciated.

Thank you for choosing FixYa. I'll need to watch for your reply if that doesn't work or before moving forward.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)
