The HP Photosmart C3180 printer does not have wired or wireless network capability. It can only be installed via USB connection. There is no IP address that can be assigned as it is not a network printer.
Hello, This excerpt is straight from magicjack's website. Chromebook does not use any of those operating systems, it uses Chrome OS. This is not to say that it will remain that way but, this is the current state of their operating system support.

magicJack supports the most popular operating systems in the world:
Open System 'Settings' with the menu button then 'Wi Fi', and see if have an internet connection available. If yes, select it, if not select 'scan' (making sure your modem is powered on and connected). You should then be prompted for a password - and hopefully it'll work.

Another (personal) reason I don't like HP printers...my wife has had several HP's, and they seem to fail right after the warranty runs out.
She prints from her I-pad and android phone thru my wi-fi using air-print( printer has to be wi-fi and airprint compatible. I bought her an Epson WF-3520...easy to setup and works like a champ !
From my research, unless the HP is listed as compatible with Chromebook, it has to be directly connected via USB to a Mac or Pc, and then networked to that Mac or Pc. Is the printer airprint supported?
