I think you mean cd/dvd drive, not the "disk drive" which is the main storage device inside the computer and is only accessible by taking the computer apart. On my Asus, the button that opens the cd/dvd tray is on the tray, which is on the right side of the computer. If you can't find it or it doesn't work, you can open the tray by choosing "eject" on the file menu or "home" menu, or whatever shows the cd/dvd drive on your operating system (probably windows).
Look at the cdrom door and see you will find a small hole; use a paper clip bent straight; insert it straight and you will feel contact with "something" push in gently and the cdrom door should pop open.
You can flip the laptop over, find the screw(s) holding the drive in the bay, remove the screws and the drive, and then either attempt repairing the drive (highly likely not to be worth the time), or breaking down and buying a replacement that does have a tray. Old laptop parts can be quite expensive, but CD-ROM drives in laptops old and new are often quite widely compatible among many makes and models.
Use a small paper clip. Insert paper clip in the faceplate's small hole and push it; the DVD tray will be opened. Actually, there is an emergency button in the hole.
Use a pin and insert in the emergency eject hole (usually in the center below the tray) and then you can eject the drive tray with force. It is time you planned for a new drive.
Untill then please insert a music CD into the drive tray and leave it there, this will ensure the eject will work (most of the time). Booting time will definitely increase if the drive has issues, reading or responding.
