The Motorola Droid is a a Verizon phone, not straightalk.. If the Original then it is long out of warranty. We have had multiple Droids so I'd like to confirm which one. It could be the battery. If the original droid, then it has a depleted battery. In some cases charging it overnight might recalibrate the battery. If it has been used past its charge cycle times then it will need to be replaced.

Try to do a firmware restore to make sure your system is 100% intact.Ifit still doesn't work, there may be an issue with your logic board.Ifyou're not covered under warranty there are Droid Repair guides that show how to open a droid.Watchout for the ribbon cables, those tear easily. You might want to try a hard reset on the phone, it should put your phone back to normal if its a software issue, if its a hardware issue you might have to take the phone apart or send it in for repairs or warranty return.
You can hard reset your Motorola Droid if you want clear all of the data off of the device and start fresh. Here’s how it’s done.
1. Turn the Droid off. If it won’t turn off, take the battery out then place it back in.
2. Open the keyboard and press the X key while pressing and holding Power. The device will power on. Keep holding the buttons down until a yellow triangle appers.
3. Press the Camera and Volume Up buttons at the same time to get to the menu. (I had to press them several times).
4. Use the direction pad to the right of the keyboard to select the Format option.
