What button do I use as a setup button if there isn't one on my remote

MANUAL PROGRAM CODE SEARCH YOUR XR11 REMOTE TO YOUR TV:
1 – Turn ON the TV you will be using with the XR11 remote.
2 – PRESS AND HOLD the SETUP button (bottom left) on your XR11 remote until the LED status light (top of remote) flashes from Green to Red.
3 – Begin manual TV code search by entering 991 on the XR11 remote.
4 – The LED status light will flash Green 2 times.
5 – Repeatedly press the CHANNEL UP button on the XR11 remote to search through the TV codes.
6 – Keep pressing CHANNEL UP button on the XR11 remote until the TV you are programming turns OFF.
7 – After your TV turns OFF press SETUP.
8 – The LED status light on your remote should flash Green 2 times.
9 – Press the TV Power button on the XR11 remote and if the TV turns ON, your XR11 remote is programmed.
Be sure to hold the SETUP button until it flashes Green 2 times after your TV turns OFF.

Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

HI,
First of all check the HDMI connections. You have to connect the HDMI Monitor out to Your projector.. And HDMI 1 to blueray or to a dvd player what you have.

To access the setup on Harman Kardon avr Just press the AVR button on the remote control. You can find the AVR button on the lowest postion of the remote . When you press the AVR button the ON SCREEN menu will pop up. Do the settings you needed.

One more thing try to use HDMI cable wih a vertion of 1.4a.

If you are not able to get the AVR ON SCREEN menu through HDMI then connect the composite monitor out In the rear of the avr to the projectors composite video input. Select the projectors composite input.

Then press the AVR button. Connect the mic to your Avr which coms with it. Select the speaker setup From the menu. Then select Automatic setup.

Yes you should take it back because there isn't supposed to be a trick to getting the menu to pull up the menu. Is there a setup button as well...well that does not make a difference because the menu button on the tv itself is supposed to pull up the menu. If nothing is happening there is something wrong. Sometimes a television will prompt you to begin a setup sequence when you first plug it in including selecting a language, location, and etc. This will lead to the channel scan or ask you if you are connecting it to a cable or satellite box. If none of that was the case then you should return or exchange this television.

To confirm if the remote control is working fine, aim the infrared emitter of the remote control to your cellphone camera, press any button key and check if the infrared will flash to your camera. Watch this video on how to do this trick.
Also, does the front panel button key of the TV isn't working?
