There are many safety switches on a lawn mower. I don't know what brand or year, so the best I can do is a generic answer. There is a safety switch in the seat. If you arent sitting down, it will not run. A safety on the blades. Blades must be off when you start most mowers. Some have a safety on the pedal; must be depressed to start. Some must be in neutral to start. I am guessing the switch you are dealing with is the seat. Some are just under the seat. Flip up the seat and there it is. On some models it is actually inside the seat.

98 Chrysler Sebring where is the neutral safety switch located

Honestly I work on so many different vehicles and dont know specific location. It is only one of 3 locations. I assume the transmission is automatic so that rules out the nuetral safety switch on the pedal assembly. So that leaves automatic, which can be located on the parking pawl portion of the transmission. It is built into the selector switch that tells you what gear you are in. Or the nuetral start safety switch can be located on the shifter inside the car. Hope this helps.

Neutral safety switch location

If you have a 5-speed manual transmission, you're probably looking for the clutch safety switch, which is located on the clutch pedal under the dash near the firewall, rather than the neutral safety switch, which is on the left side of automatic transmissions. Out of curiosity, why do you believe that it needs to be serviced?

Neutral safety switch

If the Stratus is a manual transmission, you're looking for the clutch safety switch located on the clutch pedal near the firewall; if it's an automatic transmission, the neutral safety switch is located on the transmission...probably an oblong, 3-wire connector.
