Try unplugging from outlet for fifteen seconds. Press the power button for a few seconds "before" plugging back in. Now plug back into the wall outlet and try turning it on to see if this reset the TV's settings.
We have a TV that does this after we have left it off but plugged in for awhile when we go on a trip. Just unplug the TV, wait a few seconds and plug it back in. If it's like ours, you'll find that resets it.
