The Best Solution is to format your laptop.. Upgrade it to the latest version as such Windows Vista or 7.. Then, upgrade your driver at your laptop service website.. www.acer.com

By the way, i think you should press f10 instead of alt+f10...

Good Luck...

Try formating your harddrive and reloading the OS. If that doesn't work you might need a new harddrive.

Hi this is usually a corrupted driver usually a Video driver, but not always, it can sometimes be the harbinger of doom, and it may indicate that the HDD is going/gone? faulty.
Now what you may need to do is to perform a boot from a recovery CD/DVD or Boot from a Windows DVD, then either perform a system restore, or indeed a factory restore.
usually though, whenever there is a minor problem it will not continue to reboot as it is doing now.

In this case I think that you will have to attempt recovery from the USB port, please look at the link below, this will show you exactly what and how to do it all. You will need access to another PC to make the tools required to do the job.

How do I fix window error recovery loop

Unfortunately, there are times when the OS gets so corrupted that a recovery or repair is simply not possible. At that juncture the only alternative you have is to perform a clean reinstall of the software that came with the computer. Before doing that I would suggest getting into the hard drive and backing up any and all critical files you have there. You can download the Hiren disk from the internet, and use it to boot up to a pseudo windows environment that will allow you to get into the drive and transfer the material to an external hard drive or usb stick. Then do the foul deed.

What I wanted you to clarify was the message that you noted as "something to the effect of 'Beginning of physical damage'", but you only saw it the one time I see on rereading the post, so never mind.

Have you tried doing a factory restore using the recovery media? Try pressing Alt + F10 on booting to get to eRecovery Management.
