Why does it turn off after 10 minutes of use?

to reset passlock system, The procedure is not to try to start the engine, but to leave ignition in ON position 10 minutes. Turn off and turn to ON for another 10 minutes, turn it off and turn to ON one more time for 10 more minutes.
