Picture scrolls and is offset

When I turn on the TV the picture continuously scrolls and the picture is set to the right of the TV's edge. I tried all the different format settings and it doesn't change the alignment. I've tried convergence as well with no luck although I'm sure that is to fix color rather than alignment.

I unplugged the TV for 10 minutes. When I plug it back it in, the picture has quite scrolling, but the picture is still offset. If I start working through the menu the picture starts scrolling again and I have to unplug all over.

Oops, nevermind. It's right there up top.

First off, try a TV reset. Leave it unplugged for 5+ minutes then try again.

If this doesn't work, I would recommend contacting RCA. There is no way to contact them as far as I can find, except for an online form to their customer service (there may be a contact number in your TV's manual):

http://tv.rca.com/en-us/ContactUs.html

Good luck,
~Chris

Toshiba 40 inch tv with picture edges gone.

Are you using a cable box or a satellite receiver? They too have format, Zoom, or view mode buttons.. It seems like there's several names for them but they do the same thing. I hope this helps.

I own a samsung ln46a530 and need to configure it for the best picture.....any recomendatios?

If you haven't already bought a nice set of HDMI cables, go ahead and do so (just dont fall for the "gold plated" cables as they are a gimmick). Unfortunately, while we all want that HD quality, there seems to be some problems with the ln46a530 when switching from RCA to HDMI. On the bright side, they have been resolved in this forum post.

Best audio settings:
Mode: Custom
SRS TruSurround XT: On
Auto Volume: On
TV Speaker: On

100Hz: 8 clicks right
300Hz: 8 left

10kHz: 5 right
