For the SMC1441CB, after setting the cook time, press the power level button and then the appropriate digits for the percentage of full power to use. For full power, press power level then 1 and then 0. For 50% power, press power level then press 5.

For the SMC0710BB, after setting the cook time, press the Power button until you see the desired power level displayed on the LCD screen. Press Power once to get 100% power. Press Power 6 times to get 50% power.

For the R-659YW, you set the power before setting the cooking time. You press the Power button several times to get to the desired power level. Pressing Power 7 times will have the microwave cook with 40% of its full power level.

Cut the time in half if your machine doesn't have the setting for 50% power.

push 12.00 (or whatever minutes you need) then power then 50 for 50 % 60 for 60% etc

Hit power, hit 5 all after u set cook time.

Set the time as you normally would to cook your food: i.e. 60 seconds. Hit the power button; 100 will pop up on the screen, as in 100 % of power, enter 50 for 50% power, 70 for 70% etc. Food will cook more evenly this way, not burnt to a crisp on the outside, cold in the center.

It depends on the brand and model, but usually it's something like:

Cook Time > 2 > 0 > 0 > Power > 4 > Start, where 4 is 40%, 5 is 50%, etc.

After setting the time amount before you hit the start button, push the power button with each push it should indicate a different power level if not you've got to use the keypad, for example, 50 is 50% power etc.
